Malik Muwatta (The Qur'an - 24)
Yahya related to me from Malik that Ziyad ibn Abi Ziyad said that Abu'd-Darda had said, "Shall I not tell you the best of your deeds, and those that give you the highest rank, and those that are the purest with your King, and are better for you than giving gold and silver, and better for you than meeting your enemy and striking their necks?"
They said, "Of course."
He said, "Remembrance (dhikr) of Allah ta ala."
Below I have listed down some words of dhikr that are greatly loved by Allah. Make sure you keep your tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah this Ramadan!
1. Tasbeeh-e-Fatima
An Nasai (The Book of Forgetfulness (In Prayer) - 175)
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said "Some poor people came to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the rich pray as we pray, and they fast as we fast, but they have wealth that they give in charity and with which they free slaves.' The Prophet (pbuh) said: 'If you pray and say SubhanAllah thirty-three times, Al-hamdu-lillah thirty-three times and Alahu Akbar thirty-four times, and La illaha illaAllah ten times, then you will catch up with those who went ahead of you and will go ahead of those who come after you." (Da'if)
2. SubhanAllahi wabihamdihi SubhanAllahil 'Azeem
Ibn Majah (Etiquette - 151)
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: 'Two words which are light on the tongue and heavy in the Balance, and beloved to the Most Merciful: Subhan-Allah wa bi hamdihi, Subhan-Allahil-'Azim (Glory and praise is to Allah, glory is to Allah the Almighty)." (Sahih)
3. SubhanAllahi Wabihamdihi
Sahih Bukhari
(Invocations - 100)
Narrated Abu Huraira, Allah's Messenger (pbuh) said, "Whoever says, 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi,' one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.
4. SubhanAllah Alhamdulillah Laa Ilaha illAllah Allahu Akbar
Riyad us Saliheen
(The Book of the Remembrance of Allah - 1409)Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "The uttering of the words: "Subhan-Allah (Allah is free from imperfection), Al-hamdu lillah (all praise is due to Allah), La ilaha illallah (there is no true god except Allah) and Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)' is dearer to me than anything over which the sun rises."[Muslim].
5. SubhanAllahi wabihamdihi 'adada khalq'ihi wa ridaa nafsihi wa zinata 'arshihi wa midaada kalimatihi
Ibn 'Abbas reported from Juwayriyah that the Prophet (peace be upon him) came out early when he offered the Subh [Morning] Salah while she was in her praying place. Then he returned after the forenoon while she was sitting.
Thereupon, he said: "Are you still in the same position as I left you?"I replied in the affirmative.
Thereupon, the Prophet said: I recited four words three times after I had left you. If these are to be weighed against all you have recited since morning, these will be heavier.
These are: Subhan-Allahi Wa Bihamdihi, 'Adada Khalqihi, Wa Rida Nafsihi, Wa Zinatah 'Arshihi, Wa Midada Kalimatihi [Allah is free from imperfection and I begin with His praise, as many times as the number of His creatures, in accordance with His Good Pleasure, equal to the weight of His Throne and equal to the ink that may be used in recording the words (for His Praise)]."(Ibn Majah, Sahih)
Such great rewards for just moving our tongue and feeling the Majesty of Our Lord in our hearts! Allah is too beautiful OMG. :')
