Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu!
JazakAllah for coming back. Let's look at the next reflective dua.
I discovered this dua when I was going through these verses in the Qur'an : Verses 71 - 74, Surah Nisa.
(Sahih International)
O you who have believed, take your precaution and [either] go forth in companies or go forth all together.
-Sura An-Nisa', Ayah 71
(Sahih International)
And indeed, there is among you he who lingers behind; and if disaster strikes you, he says, " Allah has favored me in that I was not present with them."-Sura An-Nisa', Ayah 72
(Sahih International)
But if bounty comes to you from Allah, he will surely say, as if there had never been between you and him any affection. "Oh, I wish I had been with them so I could have attained a great attainment."-Sura An-Nisa', Ayah 73
(Sahih International)
So let those fight in the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. And he who fights in the cause of Allah and is killed or achieves victory - We will bestow upon him a great reward.-Sura An-Nisa', Ayah 74
So in verse 71, Allah urges the Muslims to fight in His cause and take all the necessary precaution and make all the necessary arrangements.
In verses 72 and 73, Allah describes the behaviour of the hypocrite. When the Muslims face a disaster, he says, Allah has favoured me by keeping me safe. But when the Muslims win, he wishes he'd been there to take a share in the spoils of war.
In verse 74, Allah describes the behaviour of the Muslims who have sold their lives in exchange for Jannah and that they will indeed have a great reward.
That's the gist of what is said.
Now I have noticed a pattern in the Qur'an. I do not know if it's in every place, but I've discovered it in a couple of places, including this one.
When Allah gives Muslims a command, He uses this pattern to drive the point home. Immediately after the command, He'll tell you what the disbelievers or the hypocrites do and then he couples it with what the true believers do.
