#15. Never underestimate the reward of a good deed

In this ayah, Allah says " *whatever* of the good you do" thus opening up a limtless scope of good deeds, big or small that we are encouraged to do.

The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said, "If the Final Hour comes while you have a palm-cutting in your hands and it is possible to plant it before the Hour comes, you should plant it." (Al Adab Al Mufrad)

Now think of it -- It's the final hour and the world is going to end and obviously no one is going to be benefitted from this tree, but still we are urged to plant it, just so we will be rewarded for the intention and effort.

SubhanAllah! And who knows, that one deed could be your pass to Jannah!

One of the qualities of the people who truly love Allah is that they hasten towards good deeds.

Make it a habit to analyze every situation in your life to see where you can squeeze out a few good deeds. This is a race and we're all hastening towards one thing.

The approval of our Lord, Most High.

And Subhan Allah the easiest and the most favoured good deed after obeying Allah and his messenger (Peace be upon him) is to be kind towards your parents.

Look at how easy Allah makes everything for us! The two people who we love the most in the world are the easiest way to earning good deeds.

Subhan Allah times infinity :')

Never think of any deed as too small. Allah mentions in Surah Az-Zalzalah that whoever does any good deed, he will find it for himself and whoever does any bad deed will find it for himself.

The pens have not been lifted yet. The ink has not dried. Make most of your time here. You never know when death will come knocking.

When you get a chance to do a good deed, never say no. Never think of excuses. Never think of yourself as too weak for it. Put in the effort and trust Allah.

In the end of this verse, Allah mentions that HE is the one Who keeps track of all this. When we truly understand this, we will never feel the need for appreciation from anyone.

*Red signal*

Beware of the things that'll destroy your good deeds like wild fire.

-Shirk
-Bad intention
-Gossip/ back biting

-Reminding the person, for whom the deed was done, repeatedly of your favour (Mann)
-Hurting the person you did the deed for, by publicly humiliating him (Azaa)
-Riya'a (show off) which comes under the category of minor shirk.
