Chapter 24 - Is she bad news?

Chapter 23: Smiling as he saw his brother finally happy, Nathan walked off a bit far from them. He knew that Kelsey was the right choice for his brother but somewhere in his mind, the fear that they would forget him was still bothering him. Tom, meanwhile, had let Siva, Max and Jay pull him in a hug before he spotted his little brother standing far from him. He knew his brother was still having that fear but this time, he knew exactly what to do to make his brother get rid of this fear.

"Kelsey, thank you for accepting to marry me but I have a favor to ask you. A very big one and that also for Nathan" Tom said. Kelsey raised an eyebrow at that but she nodded anyways. She'll do anything for Nathan. This time Tom knew what to do so that his family could be complete.

For Nathan, his brother being happy was very important him. His brother was the most import person in his life. With the recent happenings, Nathan realized that he never wants his brother to ever go through that again and for that he was ready to do anything. He never had anything against Kelsey and it was just the fear of losing his brother that made him not accept Kelsey. But during the time that his brother was at the hospital, Nathan could truly see that Kelsey was nice. Hence, it was the reason why Nathan made the decision for his brother that Kelsey was indeed an ideal partner for Tom.

It had been a few days now since Tom and Kelsey had been officially engaged. And everybody was actually very happy about it. Tom knew about the reason why Nathan had been against his relationship with Kelsey before and he knew that such a situation might arise again if he didn't do something about it. This was the main reason why he came to a decision about it. It was something that would reassure both him and his brother and Tom was happy to know that Kelsey also was with him on this decision. Finally, everything was going to be alright in his family.

But it seemed as if they really had to fight every time for a little bit of happiness. Just when everything was falling into the perfect order, Tom got a call from his mother. "Why did you call?" was the first thing Tom asked his mother. "Listen Tom, I'm very sorry about everything that happened in the past but trust me, we've realized our mistake now. Listen son, you have a long way to go in life. You have concerts and all. You've got a life with Kelsey. We can take care of Nathan now. We've changed. Trust us. Trust me. We really miss Nathan kiddo." His mother said. But Tom refused. He was adamant on the fact that he can handle his professional and personal life as well as his brother.

Tom ended up not thinking much about the phone call and this is what he regretted days later. It had been a day when Tom was much happy to leave Nathan with Kelsey for a while. He needed to go bring the surprise home for Nathan and now that Kelsey and Nathan had bonded over, Tom didn't need to worry about anything before leaving Kelsey and Nathan alone for a while. He knew his half would watch over the most precious thing in his life.

Nathan and Kelsey had a fairly good day. Nathan liked the fact that Kelsey would allow him to stay cuddled up in bed and watch movies. He and Kelsey had been watching a Disney movie when suddenly the doorbell rang. Minutes later, he heard voices coming from downstairs. Walking down, Nathan found his mother standing there. "Nathan, I need to talk to you." His mother said. Her voice seemed sweet enough to deceive anybody but not Nathan but still he allowed his mother to have a conversation with him.

Kelsey couldn't do much to stop Nathan's mother from taking Nathan back to the room to talk in private. All that Kelsey could hope was Tom to be back before something could happen. Kelsey couldn't help but ask herself, "is she bad news?"
