Dakota was on her Ducati chasing down a yellow humvee with the cops, except she was ahead. Two cop cars and Joe's vehicle pulled put in front of her. She veered to the sidewalk and stopped the bike. She grabbed her bow and got ready to fire into the tires. Eddie stood in front of the cars and began to shoot at the car. Joe shoved Eddie away from the humvee and it smashed past the vehicles.
Dakota fired an arrow and the humvee skidded to a stop. Barry zoomed past and stood in front of the vehicle. He gave Kota this look that told her to stay back. Dakota backed off and got on her Ducati. She was going to meet Barry back at the lab.
STAR Labs
Dakota was walking side by side with Wells, Caitlyn and Cisco. The two were arguing about some math.
"What are you guys calculating anyway?" Dakota asked swinging her bow.
"The amount of bugs Barry consumes in a day of running." Cisco replied.
Kota chuckled and Wells started to wheel away, "Look forward to seeing you receive your Nobel."
The four of them walked into the Cortex. Barry was on the ground almost unconscious.
"Barry!" Dakota yelled running to him and dropping her bow. He grunted in pain. "Let's get him on the bed."
She gently wrapped her arm around him and helped him to the bed. Caitlyn started to stabilize his arm as Dakota grabbed his other hand.
"Thirteen fractures in your hand. Three broken ribs and a concussion. It'll take a few hours for you to heal." Caitlyn said finishing up.
"What hit you?" Wells asked.
"A man. A big bad man." Barry groaned.
"Something about him seemed so familiar." Dakota replied.
"He could turn into steel..." Barry murmured.
"This is getting to the point where I can't help you so much anymore." Dakota complained.
"You fight better than I do." Barry smiled unable to laugh.
"Dakota..." Wells said. "A word?"
Kota glanced at Barry and he nodded. She leaned forward and kissed his forward, "Get some rest. I'll be back."
Dakota followed Wells into the hall.
"You've proven quite useful to us. I'm sorry I didn't trust you..." Wells reluctantly said.
"There isn't anything I wouldn't do to help Barry." Dakota said walking back into the Cortex.
Barry was sitting up explaining to Caitlyn and Cisco what was happening.
"How do I fight a man made of steel?" Barry asked.
Wells wheeled back into the room, "We will find a way. Tonight you heal."
Barry laid back down and Dakota sat next to him again.
Next Day
Barry and Dakota arrived in front of Joe's desk.
"How'd it go last night?" Joe asked.
"I got beat up by a steel man. Good times." Barry complained.
"You alright?" Barry nodded. "I need you to work with Eddie on a lead. He saw some things last night that you need to answer."
"So make sciencey stuff up?" Dakota raised an eyebrow.
Joe nodded and left his desk. Barry and Dakota walked into Singh's office who was handing out files.
"Surveillance cameras picked up a face. His name is Tony Woodward." Singh said.
Dakota and Barry stared at the file photo in shock.
"Shit..." Dakota mumbled.
"Is there something wrong Dakota?" Singh asked and everybody looked at her.
"He's um...Barry's childhood bully...I had to take him down a few times myself..." Dakota murmured still in shock.
"Let's catch this bastard before he hurts anyone else."
