Dakota grabbed a rifle from the cage and shoved a magazine into it. She slung it over her shoulder and got ready to move.

"No! Not her! Take me!" Joe pleaded.

He started to drag Iris away.

"Wait! Wait! Let her say goodbye! This is boyfriend dying." Joe begged.

The man gave in, "Fine."

He unlocked her cuffs and Iris got to say goodbye. He dragged her up the stairs and that's when Dakota left the room.

She followed them around the corner, "Drop the gun!"

The man turned around pointing the gun at Iris's head, "How did you slip away?"

Dakota smirked, "If you're going to take hostages...check the whole building."

He cocked the gun, "You're going to let me walk out of here or I shoot her."

Dakota moved her finger to the trigger and looked through the scope, "I have another idea."

She fired a round into his shoulder. He stumbled backwards and she fired another round into his chest and another until he collapsed, dead. Dakota lowered the rifle and hugged Iris.

"I thought I was going to die..." She mumbled.

"You're going to be alright. Come on." Kota murmured and went down the stairs to Eddie. She tossed a set of keys to Joe. "Get Captain back in here and Iris I need a first aid kit. I'll do my best to patch him up."

Time Skip

Barry rushed into the precinct to see Eddie being rolled out on the gurney. Iris and Joe were sitting in the middle of the staircase and Dakota was leaning against the wall, still holding a rifle.

"You okay?" Barry asked grabbing the sides of her face. "I almost lost you...."

"I'm fine...you should talk to Iris...she's a little traumatized." Dakota smiled a little glancing down at the rifle.

Barry headed up the stairs to talk to Iris after giving Kota a gentle kiss.

Captain Singh walked up to Dakota, "That was quite the brave thing you did there."

"Thanks..." Kota replied.

"Where did you learn to shoot one of those bad boys?" Singh chuckled slightly.

"My father." Dakota murmured.

"Must be quite the shooter then." Singh smiled and paused for a moment. "There's someone else here to see you."

A man in a gray suit and tie walked up to her, "I'm Special Agent Kinsley from the FBI. William Tockman was the man you shot. We'd like to offer you a job. You clearly have the skills to be an agent."

"Really?!" Dakota raised her eyebrows.

Kinsley nodded, "I heard a lot about your father. Your dad was a good agent."

"I'd love to follow in my father's footsteps but I love this job. Being a forensic assistant." Dakota smiled.

Kinsley gave her a card, "If you change your mind. Call me."

Dakota pocketed the card and slung the rifle off her shoulder.

She walked over to Singh, "I believe this belongs to you."

Dakota went back to the stairs and walked up to Iris, Joe and Barry.

Hospital

Dakota was in a chair facing Eddie when Barry walked in with a vase of flowers.

"Barry! Heeeeey!" Eddie said.

"Hey Eddie." Barry smiled and set the flowers on the table.

"Flowers! That's so nice!" Eddie giggled.

Barry smirked and went over to Dakota, "How are you doing?"

"I'm alright...I think...it's been a long day." Kota smiled and took Barry's hand.

"You put three rounds in a guy. You sure you're alright?" Joe asked.

"Yeah I'm fine....really...."
