Facility 27

The three of them landed just outside the facility.

"Find Stein." Dakota ordered pulling her bow off her shoulder.

Ronnie had a look of concentration on his face, "Eiling's there. He has a gun to his head!"

Barry took off and came back with Stein.

"Boy am I glad to see you Ronald." Stein replied.

"We should go." Dakota insisted.

An armored truck pulled out of the facility and a soldier popped out with a missile launcher and fired. Barry ran towards and grabbed the device that looked less like a missile. It exploded around him and he screamed in pain.

"They sprayed some kind of chemical on me!" Barry shouted into the comms.

"You have to create a vacuum. You have to run Barry! Run!" Wells commanded.

"Run!" He yelled at the other three.

"Go! I'll cover you!" Dakota pushed Stein and Ronnie in front of her.

She fired arrows at the soldiers who were shooting at her. Dakota was exposed and ran as fast as she could while shooting across the road.

But it wasn't fast enough.

A bullet slammed into her leg and she collapsed to the ground, "SON OF A BITCH!"

"Hold!" Eiling yelled. "Advance. Slowly."

"You two better merge and get your asses out here!!!" Dakota shouted.

She looked up from her bleeding leg and saw Firestorm appear from the shield of the tall grass. A fireball hit the soldiers that were advancing on Dakota. She sighed in relief as Ronnie hit the other unit and came back to her.

Eiling tossed a device in the air and it disabled the Firestorm matrix but Stein was still inside Ronnie.

"No!" Dakota shouted trying to stand up.

Eiling pointed a gun at Ronnie but Barry came and knocked him out, "Whew that was a lot of running!"

"Quit complaining and help me up." Dakota ordered holding out her hand.

Barry, Ronnie, and Dakota went back to STAR Labs.

STAR Labs

"What happened to you?" Cisco asked.

"I was shot. What does it look like? Get the damn thing out of my leg!" Dakota grumbled pulling off her pants.

Caitlyn was too busy hugging Ronnie to help Kota.

Dakota grabbed the large tweezers and pulled the bullet out herself grunting in pain, "Cisco get the stitch kit."

Cisco brought over the kit and stitched up her leg. He grabbed a bionic knee brace and strapped it on. "Wear this for a few weeks and you'll be as good as new."

Barry's Apartment

Dakota and Barry were sleeping in bed together.

Dakota was tossing and turning trying to shake the nightmare. She was mumbling in her sleep calling out her parents' names.

Barry woke up realizing Dakota was having problems and gently prodded her, "Kota...sweetie...wake up..."

Dakota grabbed the knife from the stand and pinned Barry to the bed ready to kill with fire in her eyes.

Barry had his hands up blocking her from going further, "Dakota. It's me. It's Barry."

Dakota slowly put the knife back on the stand, "I...sorry..."

"You were having a nightmare. It's fine." Barry murmured rubbing her good knee.

"No. I've been keeping a secret. One that's making me have nightmares." Dakota took a deep breath. "When I was about to kill Parker I asked him why he killed my parents. And he said he was paid to do it. By a man in yellow."

Barry lowered his head and rubbed his forehead, "Well shit."
