Revenge of the Rogues

Barry was running along an abandoned runway with a drone firing behind him.

"Don't you think you're cutting it close?" Caitlyn asked.

"He said make it hard." Cisco argued.

"Hey Cisco! You gonna bring it or what?" Barry demanded in the comms.

Dakota crossed her arms, "Bring it."

Cisco fired a missile at Barry and it exploded at Barry's feet. He was sent flying and rolled a few feet. She noticed Dr. Wells's foot twitch and he braced himself to stand up. Cooper turned his head to the side and looked puzzled himself. Barry stood up and prepared for the next missile to come closer.

He leaped and spun the missile towards the drone. It exploded in midair and Barry came back to the trailer.

"You okay?" Dakota asked glancing at Wells relaxing again.

"I'm great. Still not fast enough." Barry sat down and begun to eat his hundreds of burgers.

"It will be." Wells insisted.

Barry finished his burgers, "I'm ready to go again. How many drones do you have left?"

"Two."

That Night

Barry, Dakota and Cooper were in the warehouse that was broken into. Cooper was wearing booties to protect his paws from the glass.

"What do you got?" Joe asked.

"Coop. Search." Kota scratched behind his ears before sending him off.

"It appears the door was frozen and then shattered." Barry murmured.

"Guess who's back." Dakota said.

"Eddie put an APB on Snart." Joe ordered and he left.

"He set a trap for Barry. He didn't steal anything. That's why he's here." Dakota murmured. Cooper came back with nothing and rubbed against her. "Hey boy."

STAR Labs

"Captain Cold is back." Cisco announced as they all walked into the Cortex.

"For a nonmetahuman Snart is proving to be quite the nemesis." Wells pointed out.

"He still has the Cold gun." Cisco complained. He went over to a table and grabbed a metal box. He handed it to Dakota, "I've been developing these. You shoot one into the gun itself, it'll shut it down."

"Awesome." Dakota closed the box.

"What does he want anyway if he didn't steal anything?" Caitlyn asked.

"The Flash. And if he wants a fight then I'll give him one." Barry replied.

"In the past month you've devoted yourself to getting faster, improving your reflexes. The last time you fought Snart you derailed a train." Wells pointed out. "You need to prioritize. Let the police do this."

"Actually let me do it." Dakota interrupted.

"No. It's too dangerous." Barry took a step towards her.

"He's not a metahuman! He's not some crazy guy with super powers! He is a guy who has a gun!" Dakota shouted. She took a deep breath, "I need something to protect me from the cold gun Cisco." Dakota glanced at Barry before leaving the building with Cooper at her heels.

Precinct

Barry walked into his lab, "Hey."

"Hey. I was just looking through Snart's file." Joe said.

"As CSI my work on the case is done and as the Flash it's also done. STAR Labs will continue helping the CCPD but I need to prioritize. I have to get faster to defeat the man in yellow." Barry explained.

"Son. You told me if you could use your powers to save a person from a burning building then you would." Joe replied. "Why the change of heart?"

"He could zoom in here and kill everyone in the station. Kill everyone I care about. He threatened Iris. I'm putting Dakota at risk." Barry murmured.

Joe sighed and stayed silent.

"There's one other thing." Barry looked uncomfortable. "Dakota's going after Snart."
