The Trap 2

"I'm sorry what?" Dakota raised her eyebrow.

"Cisco must've found out that Wells was the Reverse Flash so that's why he killed him but then I ran back one day and changed the timeline." Barry explained beginning to pace.

"So we need to access his memories." Dakota murmured.

"Exactly." Barry nodded.

"Well let's go then." Dakota stood up and grabbed her jacket.

STAR Labs

"So these will allow Cisco to enter his dreams?" Barry asked.

"I got the idea from an article I read about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder." Caitlyn replied.

"Nice." Kota complemented looking at the glasses.

"Traumatized. Stressed. Check." Cisco grumbled.

"The idea of lucid dreaming is to help conquer their fears." Dakota replied patting his shoulder.

Barry gave her a look.

"I've seen things." Kota smirked a little.

"Who's lucid dreaming?" Wells wheeled into the room.

"With all the recent metahuman attacks people have seen weird things and we're hoping that this will work." Caitlyn explained.

"Intriguing." He seemed to give it some thought. "But someone will have to be on the outside guiding them."

"We'll still working on the communications." Cisco murmured nervously.

Dakota grabbed her phone from her pocket, "Call me when you get something. I gotta go."

"I'll walk you out." Barry offered jogging to catch up with her. "We need to talk."

"Barry. Before you say anything I don't care about what we saw. Okay? I don't believe in destiny because if I did then that means destiny meant for my parents to be murdered. I love you. But I really have to go." Dakota kissed him lightly before running into the garage. She dialed Agent Kinsley's number. "This is Dakota. I'm in."

FBI Building

Dakota was sitting in Agent Kinsley's office with Cooper curled at her feet.

"Before you start working you'll be tested psychologically for a few months." Agent Kinsley explained. "Just to make sure you're not crazy."

"I have to see a shrink?" Kota raised her eyebrow. "Who?"

"Agent Derek Marks." Kinsley replied. "You'll be spending a lot of time together. Along with Agent Matthew Scott. He'll be your partner."

"Alright. I'll-" Her phone beeped and looked at the message from Barry. "Emergency at the precinct. I have to go."

"Of course." Kinsley smiled as Dakota left the office.

Precinct

Dakota burst into the lab, "Sorry I'm late I was at...never mind it's not important. What did I miss?"

Cisco was fast asleep on a chair with special glasses over his eyes.

"He's dreaming." Barry murmured. "Everything ok?"

"Everything's great." Kota murmured and went over to Cisco. "Hey buddy. Can you hear me?"

"Whoa. This is mad freaky." Cisco murmured.

"Cisco. Focus. Where are you?" Kota asked.

"I'm in the Cortex." Cisco began. "I know I'm dreaming but this feels so real."

"What are you doing?" Barry asked coming to stand next to Kota.

"Caitlyn just left to take Dr. Wells to Jitters." Cisco announced. "I think something was wrong with the containment unit. I'm going to head down there now." He paused for a moment. "It was a hologram. Wells tampered with it."
