The Sound and the Fury

Barry and Joe stepped through the front door of Wells's house. 

"I really am sorry about this Joe. The police should not have been called. I got a prank call last night." Wells explained.

"Definitely a lot more than a prank call!" Dakota anounnced from the other room. "Nice house doc."

Barry smiled and squeezed her in a hug, "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in the hospital?"

"I got discharged this morning." Dakota replied. "I'm gonna go talk to Eddie."

Dakota found Eddie and Joe murmuring to each other, "Anybody else find it weird that he doesn't have a scratch on him and the man can't walk?"

"Yes." Joe and Eddie said at the same time.

"Eddie can we talk?" Kota asked. Eddie pulled her away. "You know."

"Yeah I do." He murmured.

"And you're not going to arrest me?" Dakota raised her eyebrow.

"Despite your actions, you have good intentions. Does Barry know? Joe?" Eddie whispered.

"They both do. Yes." She replied. "Thanks."

Eddie patted her shoulder and walked away.

Dakota went back to Barry and Dr. Wells, "This couldn't have been a prank." Wells shook his head. "But you don't want our help."

"Why?" Barry asked standing up.

"Because I already know who it is. Hartley Rathaway." Wells said.

"Who's that?" Kota asked.

"Hartley Rathaway is the prodigal son. And he has returned." Wells replied.

STAR Labs

"Rathaway possess one of the greatest minds I've ever encountered." Wells began.

"Any ties to Rathaway Industries?" Joe asked.

Dakota glanced over in the corner where Cooper was sleeping.

"His grandfather founded it. His father expanded it. He was set to inherit the throne." Wells replied.

"What happened?" Kota asked.

"He came out to his parents." Caitlyn said.

"So if you two were so close what happened?" Dakota continued.

"He left after we had a disagreement." Wells replied reluctantly.

"Don't worry. We'll stop him." Barry anounnced. "Let's head back to the lab."

"I will head to Rathaway Industries and see if I can dig anything up." Dakota said. "Come on Cooper."

Rathaway Industries

Dakota and Cooper entered the building and walked up to the front desk, "Hi I'm with the Central City Police Department. I'd like to talk to the CEO regarding a case."

"Schedule an appointment." The woman said.

"It's about Hartley. Rathaway." Kota murmured.

The woman picked up the phone, "There's a girl here asking for you." There was a voice on the other side. "Yes I told her that but she's insisting." The voice said something else and she hung up the phone. "You can head right up."

Dakota and Cooper got in the elevator and rode to the top. The CEO was waiting on the other side.

"What does the CCPD want with me?" Mr. Rathaway asked. "And did they send you. You don't look like a cop."

"Forensics." Dakota replied. "I'm Dakota Miller by the way. It's about your son. Hartley. The CCPD believes he's going to target you or the building."

Precinct

"Joe." Eddie jogged into the lab and glanced at the experiment Barry was doing. "Rathaway Industries is under attack."

"Dakota's there...." Barry murmured.

"Sector cars are already in route." Eddie said as Joe left.

Barry's phone rang and he picked it up.

"It's Caitlyn." She anounnced.

"I think I know why you're calling."

Rathaway Industries

"Hartley was a prodigy. Incredibly smart and he was supposed to take over but my wife and I didn't like that he came out." Osgood said. "He was angry and got a job at STAR Labs."

"Mr. Rathaway, Hartley is dangerous. We believe he attacked Harrison Wells's house last night." Kota replied.

"He always did have a bit of a temper. But I assure you Dakota he's harmless." Mr. Rathaway insisted. "He's very smart. Don't let him trick you."

Suddenly glass shattered below and Dakota ran to the window, "Hartley...."

Dakota and Cooper left the office quickly and got back onto the elevator.
