Rogue Time

The morning went as planned at the morgue and at the precinct.

An hour later Mark Mardon was in a cell in the pipeline.

"Must be a record." Dakota smiled as the door closed.

"And now he's not after you." Barry kissed the top of her head before letting her follow Cisco and Caitlyn to the Cortex.

"Now I have no excuse to go to my brother's birthday party." Cisco complained.

"Can I come?" Kota asked. "I need something to do."

"Me too." Caitlyn added.

"Sure why not." Cisco shrugged.

Cisco's House

The three of them entered the house and walked into the living room.

Dante walked up to them and shook Cisco's hand, "Hey brother."

"Hey." He glanced at Dakota and Caitlyn. "And who are these two?"

"I'm Dakota." She shook his hand. "Happy Birthday."

"Thanks." He shook Caitlyn's hand as well.

"Happy Birthday." She murmured and he nodded walking away.

"A little overboard don't you think?" Kota murmured.

"He's the star." Cisco grumbled.

Dante played a few songs on the piano before coming back over, "Mom tells me you still work at STAR Labs."

"I like my job." Cisco said.

"We wouldn't be where we are without him." Caitlyn replied.

"He's loyal. Like a dog." Dante smirked.

"You got a problem with dogs?!" Dakota snapped.

Cisco's face hardened and he stormed out of the house. Dakota and Caitlyn followed him out.

STAR Labs Next Day

"Cisco's brother is an ass. I hope I never have to see him ever again." Dakota grumbled fiddling with her brace.

Barry's phone rang, "Joe. What's up?"

"Snart's back." He said.

"What?!" Barry shouted into the phone.

"He's gone after the Santini crime family. He could start a mob war." Joe hung up the phone.

Barry pocketed the phone rang, "Snart's back."

"And I'm still crippled, awesome." Dakota leaned back in her chair. "Go Barry."

Dakota rolled herself to the computer and listened to Barry go to the casino.

"Drop the gun Snart." Barry announced.

"You're not gonna do that. Cisco's been working very hard and if you don't want me to send frozen pieces of him to his family then you'll let her go." Snart replied.

Dakota stopped listening; she left the Cortex and walked into the training room where her suit and weapons were. She tore the brace off her knee and put on her suit. Kota strapped the bo staff behind her quiver and slung the bow over her shoulder. By the time she got back into the Cortex Barry was there.

"What are you doing?!" Barry asked.

"I'm getting my friend back. You go to the crime scene. I will stay here." Dakota crossed her arms.

"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Barry raised an eyebrow.

"I'll be fine. I can walk." Dakota replied.

"I'll see you later then."
