Chapter. 33

We were stumbling over ourselves trying to get away, it was a mess. The brothers seemed to be teleporting around us, cutting us off as we ran. The portal, the one we had been looking for al those days, months even, can be seen in the centre of a field to my right. That's our destination. It seems almost too easy, the way it's just sitting there, but maybe that's what's supposed to happen, though the brothers aren't supposed to be here. Blood trickles down my arm as a transparent dagger flys past me and nicks my bicep. I take a glance back and see that Wilhelm is making more of the weapon out of thin air. A screech sounds from just ahead of me as I see Armedia fall to the ground, a dagger right between her eyes. I call out, yelling in horror. My body flies down to her side but I am picked back up by Ivory, who shoved me forward.
"Keep going, there's nothing we can do for her, she's gone." Her hardened exterior softens, but for only a moment as she focused on her goal again. We pick up the pace again, sprinting, breathing hard as the brothers are trailing us. Knives and daggers fly around us, cutting us and threatening to kill us. Fighting would be pointless, in a situation like this, where our strength is lower, I prefer the part where my legs move fast. Ethan and Bliss are the first two to dive into the portal followed by Mandy, Scarlett and Cody. Carter stops for a minute to look at me, he doesn't even get the chance to run at me before I flick my hand and throw him into the portal, something I didn't even know I could do. Now it's just Ivory and I with the brothers on our heels.
"Oh come on princess, why don't you surrender, we won't kill you, we need you for our stories." The voice of one of them, I'm not quite sure which, sends chills down my back. The portal is right in front of me and closing quickly. At the last second, Ivory pushes me in, causing me to grab her wrist and send both of us tumbling through.
I lay sprawled on the ground like I didn't just jump through a portal. Come to think of it, I don't even remember jumping through it. Underneath me is rich gras, from what I can feel, and from what I can see, a sprawling blue sky for miles. Shouting can be heard in the distance though I'm too drained to move. That is, until someone, being Ivory, lifts me up and places me on my feet.
"Your drained, but we have bigger matters to uphold." Ahead of us, a crowd formed, with a older man and women and a boy around my age standing at the front. The boy instantly runs to me, engulfing me in a hug. When he pulls away, I look at him in confusion.
"Nadalia, I've miss you so much, I've been so worried."
The confusion must still be written in my face as he frowns slightly.
"Do you not know who I am?"
I shake my head.
"I'm Mason, your Fiancé."

This book is done, I might wrote another one if people want me to but I'm super happy because it's being going on for so long and I got bored with it and DARKNESS GLOWS IS DONE! Okay, whelp, I hope you enjoyed <3
