Chapter.9

"Y-you knew? All along? why didn't anyone tell me?"

He sighs and puts his head in his hands.

"We were waiting till you awaken which would have been tomorrow, your birthday. we all awakened on our birthdays. Just don't tell the other two you know okay?"

"Ok"

It is so odd being in the same room as him knowing that he is my lover, and a totally different person. the fact that I just learned that we are all from a Elven element magic race is frightening. honestly I don't know what I am going to do at this moment on time. I just found out that I am the queen of some race and that my friends are part if my main court. I found out that we were sent here along with a lot of my other race during a war that went on at my 'home land'. Why me? why couldn't someone else have a stone is their chest? why does it have to be me? why an I jut live a normal life?

Questions swirl my mind until Carter shakes me a little and snaps me out of my trance.

"We can't tell anyone I know until tomorrow"

He nods.

"Sounds like a plan, how exactly did you find out about all of this anyway?"

I place the back of my hand to my forehead, trying to remember.

"I was told everything by a voice in a room."

He clears his thr ought and looks at me then looks down.

"Our names, did you figure out our names?" He says obviously nervous about something.

"Well Mandy is Mahira, Cody is Caine, you are Carson and I am Nadalia."

"Ok, well let's go eat, the other two will be wondering where we are."

I just nod. I still cannot get over the fact the he is supposed to be my lover. or the 'prince'.

Walking downstairs I see Mandy and Cody sitting on the couch with a movie on. I recognize the movie as the mist. Mandy is curled up in a ball and Cody's arm is wrapped around her. I forget everything that has happened in the past few hours and decide to have some fun. walking into the room I break out laughing.

"Awe look at the two lover birds. you guys are sooooooo cute!" I exclaim making them both jump which sends Carter and I into large fits of laughter.

"Never scare us like that again!" Mandy scolds hugging herself.

As I walk over Cody gets up and walks over to Carter, slugging him in the arm he starts to laugh. I sit on the couch and give Mandy a slight hug.

"Sorry Mands I won't do it again."

She nods and hugs me back.

We are all quiet for a moment then I speak up.

"What's for dinner? Do I smell pizza?"

Mandy laughs.

"Pepperoni and cheese, that ok??"

I laugh with her a little and get up from the couch. I move towards the kitchen with Carter in tow. Two late boxes with pizza sit on the counter, of course there were some slices missing because Mandy and Cody had eaten some. Carter sits on a stool at the counter and I sit next to him. He pulls some pizza out of the boxes and places them on some plates that were set out on the counter.

The succulent pizza sat on the plates, giving off a radiant smell. I pick up the pizza and start nibbling on it.

"What are we going to do Carter? How am I suppose to find the rest of our race? How am I supposed to do this?"

I put my head down as I feel the tears start to flow. Carter takes the pizza out if my hand and wraps me in a warm hug.

"Listen to me, you will find them all, you will know who they are when you see them, when you find them you will talk to them, tell them who hey are, then send them back. You can do this, trust me. You have Mandy, Cody, and I"

I nod into his chest. His words did move me but it's not that. The fact that this is all coming at me so fast is over whelming.

"Well who are the love birds now?" I hear Mandy's voice boom from the kitchen entrance.

I pull away from the hug and look at Mandy. The expression on her face says that my mascara is running an that she knows I have been crying.

"Nati are you okay?"

I instantly fly up from the stool and into Mandy's arms.

"I'm just excited it's my birthday."

I can feel her smiling even though she is not looking at me.

"12:00 guys!" Cody yells from the living room.

As soon as he does I fall to the floor in agonizing pain. Everyone is by my side in an instant. I look down at my arm and see that something is burned into my skin... A symbol of some type.
