How can one person out of nine be completely unhappy and ruined?
For the past week, all Drew has done is mope around in his room. We hardly saw him. To be honest, I couldn’t really blame him. Zack literally was here 24/7. With the proposal, Drew’s hatred for Zack seems to have gotten even worse. He couldn’t even look at him with looking as if he wanted to just beat the life out of Zack.
Today, it was only Zack, Peyton and I in the living room when Drew walked out of his own room. I was quite surprised to see him finally make appearance, but quite happy as well. He had dark rings under his bloodshot eyes and his nose was bright red. His brown hair looked as if it hadn’t been brushed in days, which was probably the case. He was obviously exhausted.
“Hey Drew!” I greeted him with a smile, trying to make him a little happier.
He sat down next to me on the couch. “Hey.” His voice showed no emotion at all. “Do you mind driving me somewhere?”
“I don’t mind! Where do you need to go?” I wondered.
“The dentist,” He replied. “I’m having my wisdom teeth pulled out. I gotta be there by eleven, so we better get going now.”
We got up to get our spring coats, when Peyton piped up. “Can I come?! I feel like getting out of the house.”
Zack got up from the couch and put his hands in his pockets. “I have to be going as well. My sister Olivia is in town and she has a bunch of ideas for the wedding.” He kissed Peyton on the forehead, causing her to smile. “I’ll be sure to give you the scoop on what she’s got afterwards.”
“Well, then it’s settled. Peyton will come with us. Let’s go,” I said as I grabbed my red coat and wrapped it around me.
We all walked out the door and made our way towards my car. As I was opening my front door, Drew went to open the passenger door for Peyton, while she reached for it as well, causing their hands to collide.
Both their cheeks became darker shade than my jacket was. “Sorry!” They both exclaimed at the same time.
“I-uh- was going to open the door for you,” Drew murmured, his ears now turning red as well.
Peyton giggled slightly. “Thank you. It’s alright though.”
They both went to open the door at the same time as Drew said, “No, it’s my pleasure.” Their hands met once more and they became even redder in the face then before.
“Sorry!” They both repeated.
Once more they went to open door. Of course, their fingers touched. Drew just sighed playfully and grabbed Peyton’s hand in his own. “Let’s try it this way,” He offered as he looked her in the eye. He laced his fingers through her hand, opened the door for her and smiled. “After you miss.”
She chuckled and got into the car, only to be greeted by my laughing self. Drew was now in the backseat, and through my rearview mirror I could see the brightness in his eyes and his big smile.
He was finally starting to get back to normal.

Peyton and I had to wait in the waiting room while Drew got his wisdom teeth pulled out. When we were in the car, he had informed us that he was going to have to take some laughing gas while he was getting his wisdom teeth pulled out.
We were allowed to go see him inside the dentist room now that his teeth were pulled out. I had to be honest, I was quite excited to see Drew on laughing gas. It was going to be quite amusing.
