This chapter is dedicated to amourforever13 for introducing me to i the band The Black Keys

Oh and plus, for being an awesome friend! :D

Fifteen days had already passed, meaning our month of fun was halfway over. If fun even was a way to describe it. All we had done that was exciting was the amusement park. After that we had all been lazy and were being total couch potatoes.

“We have to do something!” Maven complained as us nine friends flipped through channels.

  “Like?” Drew wondered.

“I don’t know!” She replied with a frustrated tone in her voice. “I’m just so bored!”

“Do you want to go outside or something?” Jonah offered.

“I don’t think Maven meant something as in just changing where we hang out,” Harlow explained.

  “Yeah,” McKinley agreed.

Maven nodded her head.  “I meant like we should actually do something fun! Go on a cruise, go to a concert-”

“Yeah!” Mason interrupted. “I saw that there’s a band playing in the park tonight, we so need to go watch them!”

“Tonight?” Jessie said. “I’m a little busy tonight. I have a little… business to get done with.” She looked at me with intent eyes. Business was the girls plus Drew’s codeword for college application.

“I’m busy as well,” Jonah followed. “My sister and parents are insisting that I go to dinner with them while they’re in town.”

“Well would you mind if the rest of us went?” Peyton asked the two.

They shook their head. “Nah, it’s alright guys, go get ready.”

***

Jared and Lucas had joined us on our concert adventure, so we were still nine people like we had previously planned.

We had all gotten dressed in warmer clothing. We were going to see an indie rock band that was playing so we could dress casually. I put on a pair of ripped jeans (actually the ones from the amusement park) and my blue button up shirt.

The park wasn’t far so we all just walked there. The band was playing for free as well. I heard that they were a band that actually lived in one of the apartment buildings close to ours and at the moment they were just trying to become known and noticed.

Once we arrived at the park, we noticed a quite large group of people and picnic tables that people could sit at if they got tired from dancing. In the center of the park there was a setup stage and leaning on the stage was a large sign. It read:

Welcome To Blue Day’s First Live Concert!

I couldn’t help but chuckle at the name of their band. Quite original…

Standing on the stage were three guys and one girl getting ready to perform. They didn’t look like performers clothing wise, they hardly dressed differently than us which I actually admired.

One of the guys was setting up at a bass, another at an electric guitar, one more at the drums and the girl was at the microphone. It was hard not to notice her with her extremely bright red hair.

“Hey everybody!” She had quite a noticeable raspy voice. “Welcome to Blue Day’s first live concert! Enjoy!”

The band started playing a song. I had imagined them to only be average since they were hardly known, but I proved myself wrong. They were completely amazing!

It wasn’t an original song. I was Tighten Up by The Black Keys, a song that happened to be one of my favorites. They made it original though instrumental wise.

They really looked like they were into what they were playing, it was awesome. I could have watched them all night. By the look of my friends, seemed like they could too.

***

Three hours. We had been watching Blue Day for three whole hours and I wasn’t even bored or anything. With every song they got even more amazing.

“Now we’re going to slow it down a little bit,” The lead singer told us with a grin. “You know what that means.” She winked and then giggled a little bit.

They started playing a slower original song. I looked around as couples got together. McKinley and Lucas were now slow dancing, so were Harlow and Jared, Peyton had gotten together with Drew for this dance (which was so cute) and even Maven had met a guy, Folan, who she was now dancing with.

  That left Mason and me.

He looked at me awkwardly. “Would you like to dance?” He asked me, seeming as if it was the only thing he could do to relieve the awkwardness.

I gave him a little smile. “Yeah, sure.”

He wrapped his arms around my waist and I rested my hands on the back of his neck. He pulled me close as we swayed back and forth to the music.

“You’re a surprisingly good dancer,” I told him and we swayed through the crowd of romantic couples.

“Why thank ya, thank ya very much.” He grinned as I chuckled at his cheesy Elvis Presley impression.

I looked into his eyes and I couldn’t help but blush as I noticed he was looking into mine as well. I never admitted it, but even though Jonah was my boyfriend, I had always thought that Mason was the most attractive out of Drew, himself and Jonah.

His eyes were such a bright blue… they were like big round oceans. I could feel myself getting lost at sea.

What are you doing?! I asked myself. I quickly forced myself to stop looking at him and I looked up at the starry sky for a distraction.

The song then ended and I let go of Mason as quickly as possible. “You know, it’s getting late, I think I’m going to get going now.”

Before he could respond, I ran back to the apartment.

My heart pounded in my chest as I ran. Would what I just did be considered cheating? I did feel extremely bad. I felt like I should just rip my heart out and crush it completely, because that’s exactly how Jonah would feel if he found out about what I had just did with Mason. He had always been protective over me and sometimes it was as if he considered me as only his.

However, that dance… it actually felt good. It was weird seeing the whole new romantic side of Mason. Truth be told, he had never looked at me the way he did tonight.

All in all, it was obvious that I’d be thinking about this night for quite a long time.

I know this chapter wasn't that well written, well that's because it took me five minutes. I won't be able to post much this weekend so I want to get as much posted as possible for now.

But what'd you think of what just happened?! Please don't hate Lucy though! Because when you hate the narrartor of the story the whole story gets messed up and blah blah blah... you know what I mean!

So all in all (I love saying that) waddya think will happen now?!

Please comment and vote to make me smile :)
