Yes! I posted ANOTHER chapter of LASS even though I thought that this story was done :) I just had to! I was really, really, really tempted to write this!
Everyone always got pretty mad at me for ending things between Jonah and Lucy, so Lucy could be with Mason. I did clear things up with Lucy and Jonah, however I never really mentioned what happened exactly between Mason and Lucy. Well, now we know... Enjoy!
“T is for tacos!” Jessie announced as she removed her dark sunglasses from her face.
We were all lounging on the beach, listening to the wave’s splash against the shore and just soaking up in the sun. I could have spent the whole entire day here, lying down on my soft baby blue towel, forgetting about all of my worries.
“And A is for apple, and B is for banana,” Mason pointed out, causing me to open up my closed eyes. “It’s about time you learn the alphabet, Jess!”
I lifted myself up and laughed at Mason’s joke. As for what was happening between him and me, I really had no idea about what the heck was going on. I mean, we did almost kiss, and that caused me to lose my whole entire relationship with Jonah (which everyone was aware of now). And we did hold hands on the beach together… but nothing happened after that. I don’t know what I was expecting, but it surely wasn’t this. I thought maybe we’d be a little more romantic towards each other now, because we both had admitted that we could feel our new feelings for each other. But we just acted the same with each other, maybe even a little more distant actually. Everything with Mason was just a little different now.
“What’s up with the random mention of tacos though?” Tristan, who was on the beach with us, asked her. Him and Jessie were now very serious, even though they had only known each other for five days. He was very sweet and kind.
Jessie sat up straight and took off one of the elastics around her wrist. As she put up her now very long, sun streaked light brown hair, she replied with, “I don’t know why, but I’m just really craving tacos. I really want some.” She turned towards us, her group of friends, and asked, “Shall we go out for supper tonight guys?”
“Well, I’ll take you either way,” Tristan told her. He gave her a little peck on the cheek. “Anything for you, love.”
McKinley clasped her two hands together and squealed. “You two are just way too cute!” She turned towards my brother and smacked him playfully on the shoulder. “Why are you never that romantic with me? Huh, you old lump?” She wondered jokingly.
Lucas smirked, got down on his knees and cried out to her sarcastically, “My dear McKinley, I’m so sorry my love hasn’t been enough for you! Please, forgive me and give me your love back. I love you so!” He then sat down crossed-legged. “Was that enough?” He asked his girlfriend.
She chuckled and gave him a quick little peck on the lips. “The way you’re with me now is fine.” She ruffled his brown hair. “Please, just don’t ever do what you just did in public ever again. For you own sake, sweetheart.”
We all laughed at this, and once our laughter died down, Jessie brought us back to subject number one. “Seriously guys, should we all go get some tacos together tonight, or should I go with Tristan?”
“I could go for a good taco,” Jonah admitted. “Count me in.”
“Same here,” Maven followed.
I smiled a little bit at the two of them. I didn’t know what exactly Jonah and Maven’s story was, but all I knew was that there was definitely something going on between them now. I was the only one in the group who had a clue that they were possibly together, because everyone else was surely oblivious about the fact that there even could be a Maven and Jonah relationship going on.
