You couldn’t have fun without Drew Graham.

This little fact here is how I found myself driving to his old house. Once I had arrived,  I got out of my car and I walked right up to the door and knocked numerous times.

Finally, the door opened and Drew was standing there. Dark rings were under his eyes and there was a little bit of stubble on his chin. “Lucy! What are you doing here?”

I grabbed his wrist. “I’m coming to bring you back home,” I told him simply.

“No!” He yelled in reply, however it almost sounded as if his tone of voice was beg-like. It was as if he was pleading for me to take him back home.

I sighed. “Come on Drew, you know you want to come home. You know you have to come home.”

He bit his lip and nodded his head. He closed the door to the old house, took one last look at it and then he followed me to my car. We got in and I started driving towards our apartment.

“Thank you Lucy,” He told me after a long silence.

I looked at him for a second and smiled. “No problem.”

After another bit of silence, I decided to tell Drew the girl’s college secret. We weren’t allowed to tell Jonah and Mason, but I was sure Drew was the only guy allowed to know. “Drew?”

  “Mhmm?” He replied.

“Have you thought about college?” I wondered.

He nodded his head. “So many times,” He confessed. “I want to go so badly, but I don’t want to just leave all you guys.”

I could feel myself smiling. “You wouldn’t be leaving us girls. We’ve decided that we want to go to college as well!” I was so excited.

His eyes grew wide once again. “Really?”

“Yeah, we decided that we’ll spend one more month together and we’ll have as much fun as possible.” I went on and on about our plan until he knew every single detail.

“That’s a great plan!” He told me once I finished explaining everything.

We were now in the parking lot of our own apartment builing. As we got out of my car, we noticed that our friends were hanging out in the tree house. I grabbed Drew’s hand and I practically dragged him towards the rest of the group.

“Look who’s here!” I called out to them, happy that my quest to retrieve Drew was a success.

They all gasped, some more dramatically than others (Mason, Jessie and Jonah) and they all walked down the tree house’s stairs to greet him.  Most of them gave him high-fives and pats on the shoulder. Peyton, on the other hand, wrapped her arms around him and squeezed him tight.

  “Where were you?!” She cried.

“Just visiting some family,” He replied as he finally got his arms loose so he could hug her back. “I’m back now though. For good.”

“Great, because we’ve got a fun plan for today!” Harlow told them excitedly as they stopped hugging.

  “What is it?” Drew asked.

“Well…” She put her hands in her pockets. “We’re going to  an amusement park!”

***

Amusement parks are only fun when you go at nighttime. This is why my friends and I all gathered up our sweaters and jeans at around nine-thirty and we were then off to the new amusement park that was around half an hour away.
