I'm dedicating this chapter to the very well-known writer, fallenbabybubu. She took the time to give her opinion on my story, what had to be fixed and everything. I took it into account and I'm really going to work on it. She's amazing and the fact that she did this for me is just phenominal. If you haven't read any of her work yet, you really should. YOU'RE MISSING OUT!!!
Also, if any of you have opinions on what can make this story better, feel free to share. I take constructive critiscm gladly :)
It was official that Mason and I were taking it slow. Maven and Jonah were together now, even though they hadn’t told anyone besides myself so far. As for Jonah and I, Jonah was perfectly fine with the fact that I was with Mason. If my guess was right, I’m pretty sure that he was just too head-over-heels with Maven to care about who I was with.
Jessie and Tristan had fallen so in love in the short time that once we left Myrtle Beach, he had followed her back to our apartment and now they were together. I had to admit, I really thought that Tristan was cool. He treated Jessie as if she was a princess, which I found adorable.
I was happy to be back at the apartment, I could finally just lounge around all day, because I actually missed doing that. However, before I got the chance to do that, the girls and I had something that we had to do.
“You’re sure that we’re ready?” McKinley wondered as we all huddled up in the girl’s room, which I had moved back into.
“Positive,” Harlow replied.
We all split up and then we walked into the living room, where Mason, Jonah and Drew were sitting, a Coke in each of their hands.
“Guys,” I said, getting their attention. “We have some news.”
We all cleared our throats at the same time, which was pretty funny. We then got our serious faces once more.
“We’ve been thinking about college lately,” Peyton explained. “And we signed up for quite a few places.”
“And we were finally accepted, all of us,” Maven exclaimed.
All three of the guy’s eyes widened, especially Mason and Jonah’s. I thought that they’d be slightly disappointed about our leaving, but they actually both looked at each other and laughed.
“What’s so funny?” Jessie asked them.
“What’s funny is that we were both accepted to a college just the other day!” Mason replied, a huge smile on his face.
We all gasped and then grinned. A huge celebration was about to arrive…
***
All nine of us woke up that morning with huge headaches from partying all night. We had really celebrated hard last night. However, it was totally awesome and worth it. Lucas, Jared and Tristan had come over to party with us and they took the news of all of us going to college quite well.
It wasn’t like they were going to be all alone here. They had actually all gotten careers ahead of them too. Lucas had gotten that job at Rayson-Grayson, Jared was accepted to college and now he was going to study to be in journalism and Tristan was really into police work, so he said that he’d study to be in the FBI.
At the moment, we had just finished cleaning up the huge mess we had made last night and now we were all sitting on the couch together, Lucas, Jared and Tristan hadn’t gone home yet, so now all we were doing was hanging out.
“I can’t wait for college,” Jessie admitted as she popped a piece of gum into her mouth.
“It’s going to be great,” McKinley agreed.
“We’re still going to keep in touch, right?” Peyton asked us.
We all looked at her with flabbergasted looks. “You honestly thought that we would just forget about each other?” Jonah asked her with a raised eyebrow.
She shrugged her shoulders. “It’s just that we’re not going to see each other that much since we’re going to be at college all the time. We’re going to have to sleep in the dorms because all of our schools are just too far to drive from here to there all the time.”
“I have an idea!” Harlow announced. We all turned to look at her. “What if we make a pact?”
“What kind of pact?” Drew wondered.
“What if we promise to meet each other at the tree house every weekend so we never lose touch?”
We all looked at each other and thought about her offer. I then nodded my head. “I’m in.”
“Me too,” The rest of my friends chorused.
Just then, Skipper skipped into the living room and he hopped onto my lap. I pat his head. “What are we going to do with this little guy?”
“That’s right… we can’t bring him with us,” Maven realized with a sigh.
“We have to give him to nice home,” I told them and everyone agreed.
We all thought for a moment, thinking of the perfect home for Skipper. We needed a family that was full of action… with kids… happy kids that would always make him in a good mood…
“I got it!” I revealed , throwing my hands in the air just for added effect.
“Who?!” Peyton, McKinley and Jessie asked me at the same exact time.
“Who other than the Littles?!” I asked them, a huge smile on my face.
“Perfecto,” Mason said with a fake Spanish sounding accent.
We all laughed and then we made our way towards the Littles house to give them their new gift.
