Chapter 5

Holding both of her elbows, Yulier looked around the mines and took several deep breaths

"You're here" she heard a faint voice then she looked around and saw Legolas standing few meters away from her

Yulier nodded and walked toward his direction "Sorry I walked out. I'm going now to apologize to Master Gimli" she attempted to walk pass through Legolas but he hold her arm stopping from her movement

"Are you okay?" He asked

Yulier looked of Legolas "Of course"

"You looked restless. Tell me if you want to go back" Legolas looked straight into her eyes "You never been our--"

She removed his hands on her arms "I'm okay Legolas. I'm not restless, It'll take time for me to adjust in a journey" she said as she walked back to the room

'An elf falls in love once in his/her life' Yulier closed her eyes tightly

Legolas looked at her with worried eyes

"Excuse me?" Yulier walked in the room

She noticed that Tauriel looked like as if she cried and Gimli was just standing beside her

She didn't want to ask anything knowing that they have a private talk

"I'm sorry if I walked out. Please forgive me for my insolence" Yulier said and then she bowed

Next to Yulier was Legolas who just entered the room

"It's okay Lady Yulier. I'm so sorry too" Gimli said

another dwarf walked inside "Master Gimli someone wants to deliver this letter to you" he said and pass the letter to Gimli's hands
Gimli looked at it with confused eyes "It's from Lord Elrond"

Legolas looked at him confusely "An invitation perhaps?" He asked

"Dear Master Gimli,
You have been contacted by me because I want to discuss some important things with you here in Rivendell, I hope to see you soon. Sincerely yours,
Elrond of Rivendell" Gimli said "A meeting?"

"We'll go with you" Legolas said

it was late at night when they decided to stop for a rest, they were having a journey back at Rivendell

"I can get to see Elrond" Yulier said to herself

it would be the third time that she'll see her sister's husband. First, it was when Elrond asked for her sister's hand to her parents, second when her sister and Elrond married. She might even get to see her niece and nephews knowing that her sister have wonderful children

Thinking about the possibilities she felt her heart jump excited to see her family

"I'll be the first watch then" Legolas said "We'll continue our journey to Rivendell tomorrow"

Yulier was about to volunteer to be in the second watch but a voice stopped her

"I'll watch after you" Tauriel said

Legolas looked at Tauriel and smiled "Okay"

Gimli lay on the grass and started snoring

Yulier also lay down on her cloak and closed her eyes

After an hour Yulier woke up but her eyes are still shut, she can hear a conversation not so far away from her, she was guessing it was Tauriel and Legolas talking to each other on elvish

(In elvish- Italic)

"He gave me this" Yulier heard Tauriel's faint voice "He told me that he wants to give it to me but he can't because he doesn't have the chance to give it"

Yulier can hear Legolas' deepbreaths, a sign that he was listening to Tauriel

Tauriel's voice came out as sobs "I love him so.. I miss him, I wish he was not killed, I wish he was with me. Oh it hurts me so much"

Yulier slowly opened her eyes and saw Legolas putting his hands on Tauriel's face, wiping her tears, like wiping Tauriel's pain away

"Hush now. Everything will be alright" Legolas hugged Tauriel "I'm sure he wanted to be with you as well"

Looking at this scene, Yulier felt so weak. It's like her heart has been stabbed by an unknown thing, it's beat were slow. Slowly her tears falls from her eyes.

She shifted her body to another direction not wanting to see what she had seen. She put her hands on her mouth covering the possible sound she may let out
