Chapter 18 - Goodbye

It was our last day of class before winter break and I was so excited! Though I went through so much, I know have to keep my head up and live pass this moment. If Sasuke wasn't the guy for me, than, I know there's one out there that will love me for who i am and not leave me. I walked through the college halls one last time, and it had a warm fuzzy feeling. It was hard to describe... It felt like, it was my last day of school. "Sakura! Hurry!" Ino shouted. My friends Ino, Hinata, Shikamaru and Naruto waited for me to come. We all decided to make plans together for our break before class started. "Took you long enough! We have to hurry and make plans before class start!" Ino crossed her arms with mine and lead us to an empty class room. There, I saw the one thing that turn my smile upside down.

My eyes instantly were filled with tears. My heart sank to my stomach and my mouth open in shocked. The one thing that I didn't want to happen, happened. Karin kissing Sasuke. "Yo, dude, what are you doing?" Naruto said angry. Sasuke stood quiet. "Oh, Sasuke didn't tell?" Karin giggled. "Sasuke's with me." She smiled evilly. "Is that true?" Naruto asked, but there was no answer. Sasuke looked at Sakura than looked away, ashamed. Ino angry started to boil through her body. Shikamaru held on to her hand but she brushed it off. Karin looked at Sakura and smirked. "He doesn't want you anymore, billboard brow".

Those words were the icing to Inos cake. Ino rushed to Karin and slapped her. "IM TIRED OF YOUR BULLSHIT!!!" Ino Pin her to the grown and punched her in the mouth. "How dare you come in between Sakura and Sasuke! You fucking slut!" Ino pulled her by the hair but before she could make another swing, Shikamaru carried her away from Karin. "Ino! Calm down! Do you want to be kicked out of the campus?!" Shikamaru held onto her hands. Hinata rushed to Karin to check on Karin. Sakura looked at Sasuke, as Sasuke look back at her. "Sakura..." Sasuke said her name. "No... Sasuke. I'm done. I, I can't do this anymore". Sakura walked out the room. Ino walked out following her, as Hinata took Karin to the bathroom.

The boys looked at Sasuke with anger in their eyes. "What's going on". Naruto was seconds from punching him in the face. Sasuke sighs. "You wouldn't understand". He started to walked towards the door. Shikamaru got in his way, blocking from leaving. "Dude, we're your friends. Or did Karin got that far into your head that you forgot that". Shikamaru looked at him, also about to punch him. Sasuke stood quiet. He walked towards the chock board and rest his head against it. "Sasuke, just say it". Naruto tried to get it out of him. Sasuke turn around an lean against the board. "I... I watched her get rapped... And I know, who planned it". Sasuke looked directly at Naruto. "Who..." Shikamaru asked. "Karin". Naruto face turn white. His cousin, Karin.

"So, I'm guessing that If you don't do what she say, she'll tell them to do it again". Shikamaru crossed his hands. "So why didn't you tell Itachi?" Naruto asked. "If I report to Itachi, Karin won't tell who did it to her. Plus if she gets arrested, than that's a signal for them to rape her and post pictures onto the Internet". "I can't believe she would actually do something like this... We gotta tell someone. This has gone to far!" Naruto was extremely angry. "No. I'm gonna give Karin what she deserve". Sasuke smirk evilly. "Heh, well, at least tell Itachi about it". Shikamaru smirked. "Yea". "Alright, I'll mess with Karin's head". Naruto smirked. Someone over heard their conversation and ran away.

(Sakura & Itachi P.O.V)

Is it true? Was what I just saw real? I don't know why but... I'm not sad... I'm just... "Sakura?... Sakura!" Ino shook Sakura to snap out of it. "Sakura, please, snap out of it". Ino shook her some more. Sakura looked at Ino and smiled alittle. "I'm fine Ino, don't worry..." Sakura washed her face and looked in the mirror. "Are you sure?" Ino looked at her worried. "Yea... Um... I'm gonna go. I need time to think". Sakura put on her jacket. "At least let me be with you..." Ino didn't know what to do. The slap she gave to Karin sprain her wrist. "No, don't worry, I'll be fine". Sakura walk out the bathroom. As she walked down the hall, she saw Sasuke walking towards her; she looked away. As they got close, Sasuke stops her and stood infront of her. She tried going pass from the left and right but Sasuke stood in her way.

"Um, can you please get out the way. I need to go". "Go where?" Sasuke looked down at her. "It's none of your concern". She tried to go pass. "Why not?" Sasuke blocked her still. Sakura tired to keep cool but he kept getting in her way. "Ugh! Move!" Sakura finally went by but Sasuke took her by her wrist and pin her against the wall. Her hands above her head as his leg we in between her legs. He lean down an kissed her neck. Sakura started to tear as the memories she had of him flashed in her mind. "ENOUGH!" Sakura slap him on the face. Sasuke looked at her serious as she ran out the school. 'I can't do this anymore!' Sakura ran down the block and enter the main shopping street. There were to many people in the way, she wasn't able to see the traffic light turn green for the cars to drive; she pushed herself out of the crowd and into the street. Without noticing, a red car started coming her way. "WATCH OUT!" A familiar voice shouted as he pulled her out of the way and held her close. Sakura, was shocked at what just happen, she stood frozen in his arms. As she looked up, it was Itachi who had saved her. "I-it's you..." Sakura was shocked to see. "Hey there, Sakura". He smiled down at her.

(At the coffee cafe)
"Seriously, you don't have to do this at all". A waiter placed hot chocolate for Sakura and coffee for him. "It's no problem. You are Sasuke girlfriend after all, plus, I wanted to see how you were doing after the incident". Sakura looked down at her hot chocolate with a sad face. Itachi knew something was up. "Um, well... You see, we're not together, anymore. He um, decided to go back out with Karin". Sakura took a sip I her chocolate. Itachi looked at her; observing her. "Karin is that girl that's been getting in the way between you and Sasuke correct?" "Yea. He called me one night and told me tht it was over between us..." "And when exactly did this happen?" "About one or two weeks after we were release from the hospital". Itachi started to think. "And since than you haven't spoken to him?" "No. I've tried calling and visiting, but each time I did, Ms. Uchiha told he he wasn't in the mood to talk or he wasn't home". Sakura started to tear. "Itachi saw the innocent girl cry. He knew something was up with Sasuke and he was going to get to the bottom of it. "I'll see what i can find out. But for now, I need you to be strong ok". Itachi smiled. "Okay" Sakura smiled.

After the coffee, Itachi drove Sakura over to Ino house. She wave good bye as he drove off. She ran the door bell and Deidara open the door. "Hello, Sakura right?" Deidara played along innocently. "Y-yes, it's Ino back yet?" Sakura asked. "No, but she'll be back soon, would you like to wait? It won't be long". "Y-yes, t-thank you!"Sakura was nervous as she walked in. "Can I get you anything?" Deidara offered. "Um, yea. Do you have any pills? My head is hurting". "Yea, let me get it for you". Deidara went and got the pain relief pill. He also put in the drugs into a small bag for Sakura to take home. He went back into the living room and gave her the pill with water. "Here you go. I put some in a small bag for you to bring home". Sakura took the small bag and put it in her purse. "Thank you!" Sakura smiled at her. As Sakura stood in Ino house for a bit, Sasuke kept calling her, but she wouldn't answer. Sakura went home and laid on her bed. She still had a headache from all the crying she did, she decided to take another pill. She drank the pill and relaxed. After a few minutes, Sakura couldn't breathe right and decided to go to her balcony for fresh air. Her her heart started to beat as. She started to see weird thing, she didn't know that she was high.
