Chapter 28 - Christmas Eve

(Naruto's Place)

"Finally! Christmas Eve is tomorrow ! I get to stuff myself without getting judged!" Ino said as she saw all the food Kushina was preparing for tomorrow. "Well if Shikamaru really loved you he wouldn't mind how you looked". Kushina smiled. "I know, but I also gotta look good for myself too". Ino smirked as helped her out. "Very true". Kushina laugh. Sakura sat in the kitchen table with Hinata watching Ino and Kushina prepare food. "Thank you for having us for Christmas Eve". Sakura said. "Its no problem. Since your parents will be away this Christmas Eve, I'm happy to invite you". Kushina smile. "Hinata, if you like, you can have a sleep over. And even invite the boys, so Naruto won't feel so alone". Kushina started seasoning the chicken. "Cool!!! I didn't know Naruto's mom was so cool!!!" Ino said with so much happiness. As they laugh, Sakura had a sad gloomy face as she look through her cellphone. She looked through her old pictures and saw one that widen her. It was an old picture of Sasuke and her on their first date. His lips pressed against her neck. She stair at the picture and at that moment, she started having different flashbacks of him kissing her. "Aaahh!!!" Sakura held her head as she was in pain.

"Sakura!" Everyone rushes to her. Sakura opens her eyes and starts crying. All she could think about was Sasuke. The image if them kissing stood her mind. "S-Sasuke?" Sakura stair at her hands. Everyone looks at each other. "Sakura. Did you had a flashback?" Kushina asked her. "Did... Was I? With Sasuke?" Ino looked at Hinata. "Y-yes..." Hinata said nervously. "Sakura. We need to talk". Kushina help her up to the living room. As they sat, everyone looked at each other not knowing what to say. "So.. Um Sakura. Please. Have an open mind... But.. Last three months. You have been through so much and it's was last week that you were out of that coma". Kushina explain. "I was in a coma?" Sakura was shocked at the news. "Y-yes. You were drugged by Karin. She wanted Sasuke for herself and did so much to keep you away. Now, Sasuke has been fight with himself and them to still be with you". Sakura started crying as she heard the news. She couldn't believe that something so small would ever gone so far. "I-I want to see him". Sakura said as she whipped her tears away. "Sakura I don't think it's a good time. Just think this through first". Hinata said, worried about her. Sakura inhale and exhaled slowly. "Alright..." Sakura wiped away her tears and tried not to cry. Kushina held her as the poor girl started crying again. "It's ok. Everything will get better; I promise". Kushina held her close.

(Christmas Eve/ 6:30pm)

"Sakura! You look beautiful!" Tenten smiled as she looked at Sakura's red sleeveless dress. She wore black leggings and and red heals and black elbow length floral gloves. "T-thank you!" She blushed. "I bet Sasuke will like it". Ino elbowed Sakura. "Ino! Please! As if Shikamaru wouldn't like you". Ino wore a black pencil skirt and a purple silk sleeveless shirt with black heals. "Yea, I had this outfit plan out since the summer". Ino model in the mirror. "At least you guys look nice. I look like a fat troll". Hinata she rubbed her stomach. "No! You look great! Let Naruto say something, ill hurt him". Tenten said proudly. "That's right! I mean, you are giving birth to his baby". Ino couldn't resist but to rub her stomach. "You think he'll be happy once he finds out that its a boy?" Ino smiled. "Yes. Ill tell him tonight; midnight. As his Christmas gift. Along with his actual gift". The girls laugh as they were so proud for them. Sakura remain on the bed looking at her photo of Sasuke and her kissing. It was the only memories she had of them. "Ok! It's chow time!" Tenten open the door. As they walked down the girls went to their boyfriends. Hinata with Naruto. Ino with Shikamaru and Tenten with Neji. Sakura walk slowly to Sasuke as be started starring at her beauty. "H-hi". Sakura started off. "H-hi". Sasuke said back with a warm smile.

"Ok! It's dinner time!!!" Kushina placed the potato salad on the table as Minato place the chicken in the center. Everyone sat down to eat. Sakura sat across from Sasuke as they took things slowly. It was to loud to speak to one another as dinner started. Everyone began to eat.

(After dinner)

Sakura walks to the kitchen to place her glass into the sink. As she turned around Sasuke walked in. "Oh, Hey". Sakura blushed. "Hey. Having fun?" Sasuke placed his glass also into the sink. "Yea! Real fun. I can't remember the last time I-" she stood quiet. They stood in front of each other quietly. Sakura looked down as Sasuke looked down at her. She hesitated to tell him. "Sasuke. I... I... I got some of my memories... Memories of us". Sakura started tearing. Sasuke stood shocked. Happy that she remembered them. He lift her chin up as they looked into each others eyes. "Sakura... Do you remember us together?" Sakura nodded as she started to cry. He lean forward and gently kissed her soft lips.
