Chapter 58 - Square One

(Kiba's P.O.V.)

Kiba was walking down the town looking for a store his mother demanded him to go. "Damn!!! Where's this stupid store!" Kiba looked through each store. As he walked further, he noticed Shikamaru walking towards. As they both wall past each other, they gave one another a evil glair. Shikamaru continue walking without looking back as Kiba looked back and noticed him entering a rehab center. Kiba followed and saw him threw the glass door signing some papers. He quickly dial Ino's number. "Hey Ino! I just saw Shikamaru enter a rehab center. Is he ok?" Kiba looked up at the sky as he noticed some dark clouds. "Yea. Um... It's no big deal..." Ino sounded distance. "Ino. I know something wrong. Where are you? Ill bring some drinks and we can talk about it". "Ok... I'm at Sakura's place. Do you know we're it is?" "Um. I think so. Just text me the address". Kiba ran to the store for his mothers items and for some drinks. As it almost began raining, he quickly ran towards Sakura's place.

After 20 minutes of looking, Kiba finally found the house. He rang the door bell and slowly Ino open the door. Kiba's happy face turn white and shocked. He saw the bruised eye and cut on her lip. He noticed her wearing a thick sweater in a hot day and her skin complexion pail. "Ino. What happen?" He walked in removing his shoes. "Oh it was nothing really". Ino smiled. "Um want something to drink?" She walk towards the kitchen. "Yea water is fine. So um... Where's Sakura? And why does the house looks so empty? Is she moving?" Kiba sat on the coach. Ino handed him the glass if water and sat on the coach in front of him. "Um. Well. Sakura's parents past away... That's why the house is so quiet. Lately things haven't been going so well, and it will take forever for me to tell you..." Ino look down, hiding behind her bangs.

Kiba went down on one knee and lift her chin up gently. "Who did this to you". Ino looked at him and teared. "Was it Shikamaru?" He ask, she nodded. "Where else did he hit you?" Ino shook her head no. Kiba removed her sweater and noticed other marks on her arm and neck. "Was this also him?" "No.. I fought Temari.." Ino put it back on. "Is that why he was heading to the rehab facility?" "Yea... He has a drinking and drug issue". Kiba took a minute to sink things in and finally relax. He held Ino close in his arm and buried his face in her neck. Ino looked up at the ceiling and began tearing. "I'm sorry. For not being there to save you". Kiba held her tight. "It's ok..." "It's not!" He was face to face with her. They looked into each others eyes and blushed. "Um, I'm sorry.." Kiba hid his blushed face. Ino smiled. "No, it's ok. I haven't had someone care for me in a while. It makes me... Feel special". Ino blushed and smiled. Kiba noticed her smiling and blushed again. He took her hand and lead her to the kitchen. He took one of Sakura's ice cube and wrap it around a paper towel and place it on Ino's neck. Ino flinched from the cold but kiba place it back on her neck. "It will help". Kiba rub it more.
