Chapter 56 - Can't Reach You.

(Two days later)

"Cut on the lip. Black and Blue left eye. Bruised on the arms and some hair yanked out. Bloody nose and loss hearing on her right ear for a while. She's really injured. And she doesn't want to press charges". Sakura said as she served everyone Ice tea. I've asked aunt to let her stay over for a week, and she agree, thinking it was because of Deidara. But I'm afraid, next week she'll still be hurt". Sakura sat next to Sasuke. "And she doesn't come out right?" Hinata ask. "No. Only to take a shower. When I picked her up that day she called, She was limping. I had to bathe her for two days because she was badly hurt". Sakura teared a little. "Hinata covered her mouth shocked as tears came out. "Fuck! Shikamaru!" Naruto said angrily. "Has she eaten?" Karin asked looking at Sakura. "Yea every time I make dinner but, she would vomit it back out. She's still nervous". Sakura looked down. Sasuke sat up an took a deep breath. "Everything that happens for now on is up to Ino. If she wants to move on from Shikamaru or keep him in her life". Sasuke crossed his arms and lay back. Everyone was worried as they stood quiet.

"What needs to happen is that Ino needs to press charges on Shikamaru. If she doesn't do something, she's going to continue going back to him and this might happen again!" Karin shouted. Karin got up and stormed up at Ino's room. Karin opened the door and noticed Ino sitting on the far end of the bed. "Ino?" Karin walked in front of Ino an sat next to her. "Can you walk?" Ino shook her head no. Karin noticed her face badly damaged. She noticed cuts and bruises all over her arm and body. "Want me to call for help?" Karin got worried as Ino started hyperventilating. "SAKURA!!!" Karin shouted as she tried calming Ino down. Sakura and Hinata rushed upstairs. "She's hyperventilating!!!" "Ino please calm down. Everything's ok!" Sakura tried talking to her. Hinata rushed down to get a glass of water. Karin turned on the fan and put it towards Ino. Ino slowly closed her eyes and fainted. "Ino!!!" Sakura shouted.

(Later that day)

Shikamaru tried calling Ino. He couldn't recall anything that happened but Ino's scream echoing in his head. He called over and over but no answer. "Fuck. What the hell happen? Temari won't tell me how she got those bruises". He lit up a cigarette. He laid back on his roof and looked at the sky. (Flashback) He remember the first time he met Ino in elementary school. She was sitting with Sakura in the garden. Shikamaru's ball hit Ino on the head and landed on the ground in front of her. "Ouch!" Ino looked evilly at Shikamaru and threw the ball back. "It was by accident" Shikamaru caught the ball. "So! It still hit me!" She still looked at him evilly. "Let's just go before she tells on us". Chouji nervously said. "Girls". Shikamaru walked away.
(End of Flashback) "Ino. Pick up..." Shikamaru worried.
