Chapter 81 - Unforgettable Memories

[Text: Sai - "Meet me at the park near your shop. I'll be waiting"]

"Hey Deidara, I'm leaving" Ino took off her apron and hanged it up. He stood behind the cash register. Ino ran to the only park that was close by. "Why am I so nervous? Why do I want to cry? Sai, Please.. dont.. don't leave me" Ino ran as fast as she could and finally reached to the park. She ran around the park and couldn't see him. "Where is he?" Ino stood in front of the swings. "Ino". Sai walked out of the shadow area near the tree. "Sai!" Ino rushed to him. "What's wrong?" She caught her breath.

"We um, need to talk..." Sai put away his black phone. Ino looked at him worried. "About what?" They stood silence for a minute. "What, happen between you and Shikamaru?" Sai looked at her as she looked back at him nervous. "Nothing special...." She looked away. "What happen Ino? I know it was something bad". Ino looked at him and took a deep breath. "What Shikamaru and I had was... a strong relationship that went out of the ordinary. During the relationship... well... back in High School, he went out with a girl name Temari. She was into rebellious things... but they split for some reason... When college started, we began dating and little by little i realized he was going back to his old habits". Ino held back her tears

"There would be days where I wouldn't talk to him. I would go by his house and he would not answer the door or my calls. Till one day i went by... I knew he was home because when I looked up at his window, he moved his curtains. I kept ringing the doorbell till he answer and when he did..." Ino had flashbacks. One after another, tears drip down her eyes as she began stuttering a bit. "I went past him. I could tell he was intoxicated. When i went upstairs, Temari was in his bed... I began fighting her and one thing led to another... He dragged me from the hair and threw me out onto the road... I lay there unable to move from the pain i was experienced..." Ino stood quiet.

"After a while, he went to rehab and we tried to make it work... but I couldn't forgive him at all... so I ended it for good..." Ino wiped her tears and looked up at Sai. Sai stood there frozen from what he just heard. "No wonder he said that..." Sai took a deep breath. "I'm sorry you went through all that... especially someone so beautiful as you". Ino blushed as she looked at him surprised. Sai lean forward and hugged her tightly. Ino rest her forehead against his chest as she could smell his scent. "Sai's scent..." Ino thought to herself as she couldn't stop sniffing him quietly. Sai rest his chin on her head as he looked up at the sky thinking.
