Chapter 1 - New Beginning: A Trip to The Mall

As August came to an end, I sat under the beach umbrella, avoiding the sun's strong heat wave. The summer heat was unbearable and the worst part; the shades didn't seem like it was making any difference. It seems like the year is going by fast. I still remember like it was yesterday that we graduated from high school; and now college. "Sakura! What are you doing sitting around hurry and pack before the mall closes!" Ino and Hinata ran towards me. "oh snap! I forgot!" We pack as quickly as we could and hurried to Ino's violet.

As they put everything into the small space behind the seat, Sakura noticed Sasuke six rows behind them closing the trunk of Shikamaru SUV. "It been almost 12 years and I still haven't told him how I really feel. Not like it matters... He'll never go for a girl like me" Sakura thought to herself. "Sakura! Come on and get in. We're meeting the guys there" Hinata got in the front seat with Ino. "Wait, WHAT!!!" Ino drove out of the parking lot before Shikamaru did and drove into the drive way, with Shikamaru behind them. "They're coming? Warn a girl next time!" Sakura looked through Ino's giant black bag (Ino emergency bag full of make-up and spray) and pulled out the mousse and fixed her hair.

"You were to busy gazing at the ocean when I told you to pack. Anyways, Hinata and I met up with them at the beach and they also said they were heading to the mall. So, thanks to me, the six of us are handing out together". Ino stop at the red light as Shikamaru SUV stop next to them. He rolled down the window and began speaking to Ino. "Sakura look, it's Sasuke and Naruto". Sakura looked at Sasuke and gazed at how hot he looked in his black tank top. "Take a picture" Hinata elbowed Sakura. Sakura reached for her iPhone and right before she took a photo, inches away from pressing the button, Sasuke noticed her and at that moment, as their eyes met, the flash went off.

Her heart raced as he smirked at her. Sakura blushed so much she hid as quickly as she could and bump her face behind Ino's seat. "Ah! Darn it! That hurt!" "You ok Sakura?" Hinata check on her. "Yea I'm ok, thanks" Ino drove as the traffic light changed. 20 minutes later, they finally reached the malls parking lot as the guys parked next to them. They got out of he car and all Sakura could focus was how fast her heart was beating. Each step she took made her even more nervous. As they finally walked together to the entrance, Sakura looked at Sasukr and he looked back at her with a smiled. "Hey Sakura"
