Chapter 39 - Not the End but a New Beginning

"GGGGEEAAAHHHHH!!!" Karin screamed as she held on to her pregnant stomach. She felt so much pain as it became stronger and stronger. "W-what happen?!" Suigetsu woke up scared from Karin scream. "I DON'T KNOW!!!" Karin gets off of bed and rush towards the bathroom as she turn on the light. She stood frozen as she couldn't believe what happen. "AAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!" She screamed. Suigetsu turn on the lights and saw the nightmare that accrued. "N-N-No...." His eyes opened wide in fear.

(Later on that morning 9:07AM)

Karin rested on the hospital bed as Suigetsu sat next to her holding her hand as they stood quiet for their lost. Kushina cried outside as Minato held her. "W-Why did this happen... Again..." Kushina cried as she covered her face. "I know... You gotta be strong for her. Come on". Minato walked in with her. "Hey Karin are you feeling any better". Kushina tries to give a serious face. Karin looked at her emotionless. Minato looked at Suigetsu as he too stood quiet. "Karin, you are not alone... Trust me. I've been in the same boat as you have". She said as she sat next to Karin holding her hand. "What do you mean?" Karin looked at her. "Well... Minato and I didnt only have Naruto. When I was pregnant, the doctors said I was having a baby boy. But when I went for my second check up, that's when they told me that I was having twins".
Karin and Suigetsu looked at her surprised.

"W-What?" Karin was speechless. "Yea... We were having twin boys. Everything was going great. Months pass by and they were good till one day, I was having contractions towards my due date. Though it was a bit early. But for some reason, I was scared. Not because of giving birth for the first time, but something in me felt wrong. Even Minato felt the same thing. When it was time for me to push out, the first one came out with black hair. But the doctors rushed him as the saw that he wasn't breathing nor moving. They did everything but he was gone... I didn't have the strength to push the second one as I was frozen in shocked. I couldn't move... all I did was stare at my baby... Dead... But for some reason, I heard Minato say push. And out of no were. I pushed. When I heard Naruto cry loudly, I couldn't Stop crying. I didn't even want to let him go. But as I held Naruto in my arms, I watched my first born being taken away.." Kushans teared. Minato placed his hand on her shoulders. "The doctors brought me to the back for and I watched as they tried and tried to help the baby breath. But... It was to late. Without knowing. We don't know for how long... Kushina held on to him without knowing he was dead. The doctor said from the weight and height of the baby, it look like it was about nine months in". Kushina whipped away her tears. "When Naruto became 17, we told him about his older brother. He was sad that he wasn't alive but he smiled at the sky and said 'He's in a better place now' and he hugged us". Minato said. "If anyone know the pain more is Kushina. So know that your not alone. We're here for you".

Karin smiled as tears fell down from her cheeks. "Thank you". "I know this is hard and I know that there's been so much bad things happening. But it's time you to finish every important things. Go back to college and Finnish. Get a job with your career and than, you can have another one". Kushina smiled. "Yea" Karin smiled back. Suigetsu squeezed her hand a bit. "If you don't mind me asking. What name did you plan to give him?" Suigetsu asked. Minato smiled. "Menma. Menma Uzumaki".
