Chapter 22 - Sleeping Angel

Itachi P.O.V.
(In Sakura's hospital room)

"It's been a whole month since that day. Till this day, I can't help but to feel so much anger towards Sasuke. How could he had let something so small, become something big. How could a pretty, wait.... Beautiful girl like you get involve with this? I remember I would see you and Sasuke in town, and your smile just made the sun shine brighter. The way your hair would move along with the wind... And how your green eyes shine. Heh... Listen to yourself Itachi... You sound like your-" ... *looks at Sakura*... In love". Itachi slowly locked his fingers with hers. He noticed that she looked skinnier than how she looked before. Her skin was a bit pale and her bones poking out a bit more.

Itachi sat on the empty chair next to her bed and looked at the pink hair teen. He thought to himself 'If only I knew her back than, than maybe, maybe she wouldn't have gone through so much pain. Maybe she would had been happy'. He remember the first time he spoke to her. She was laying in the same bed. Terrified and depressed because she was rapped. Though, she kept a smile on her face, avoiding Sasuke from seeing her broken heart. Itachi loved how strong she was and how much courage she had. And how much she loved Sasuke. It crushed his heart. *Cellphone rings. It was a call from Nagato* [ Itachi and Nagato are friends]

"Hello?" Itachi answered. "Hey Itachi, how's it been?" Nagato answer back. "It's been crazy here... And Karin's apart of it". Nagato stood quiet for a second. "What happen?..." "My younger brother was going out with a girl that Karin didn't like. So one thing led to another. Karin send three men to gang up on Sasuke and Sakura one night, beating and rapping Sakura, which led them to the hospital. Since that day, Sasuke's been doing everything Karin tells him to do so she wouldn't expose the photos the men's took". Nagato stood quiet. Frustrated in the other side. "There's more isn't it?" Nagato asked. Itachi looked at Sakura again. "I don't know much yet. But looked like Karin is teaming up with our old classmate Deidara and another person and using drugs. Deidara gave Sakura drugs some how and now, Sakura in the hospital bed with a coma". "What?!" Nagato said with anger.

"Where are you?" Itachi noticed Sakura's hand. It twitched a bit. Itachi eyes open up in surprise. "I'm in New York teaching a college class. I'm not able to come to Japan till the semester is over in three weeks". Itachi heard Nagato but was surprise at What he saw. Sakura hand twitched again. "Hey Nagato ill call you back!" Itachi hung up the call and held Sakura's hand. "Sakura?!" It was silent for a bit and out I no where , sakura gasped for air. She started panicking as she noticed the wires around her body, she started screaming un-controllably. "Sakura calm down!" Itachi tried to hold down her body. "NURSE!!!" Two nurses and Tsunade rushed in. Itachi back up, shocked.
