"What are you doing here?" I asked Axel harshly as I walked up next to Raymond. I had only heard the end of the conversation in which Axel was saying that he thought I was dead.

"He needs our help," Raymond answered for Axel.

"Our help? Why?"

"Because Quentin and Tara have his sister in captivity and is using her to force Axel to do their dirty work?"

I took a moment to absorb that information but it did nothing to settle the confusion within me.

"But why?" I direct this question to Axel again. "Aren't Quentin and Tara your parents?"

"No," Axel said.

I opened my mouth to ask another question when Ethan groaned.

"Oh my gosh Emily." He was clearly annoyed because of house far behind I was. "Zeus and Tessa are Axels parents, he has a younger sister, and they were all kidnapped like the other glows. Quentin and Tara killed Zeus and Tessa and are forcing Axel to do what they want or else they'll hurt his sister."

I raise an eyebrow, surprised at how confident Ethan seemed that Axel was telling the truth. "And you trust him?" I ask.

"Well yeah, his story seems believable enough," Ethan shrugged.

I frowned and glanced around the room, waiting for someone to speak up and say that they didn't. No one did.

"Well I don't," I eventually said, and stepped even farther forward, towards Axel. "After you kidnapped my brother and tried to kill me, what makes you think you can be trusted?"

Axel started to shake his head then stopped. "How are you still alive?" He asked.

"I'm not answering that," I huffed. "

"Fine, but to be honest, nothing. There's nothing I've done to prove myself trust worthy or as an ally but I know the compound and I can help you kill Quentin and Tara. I just can't do it. I've proven myself too weak for the task, which is why I need your help. I didn't come to ask for your trust, just your help."

I looked at Ethan, who had a smug look on his face, Jacob, who looked unsure of himself, then at Raymond, who nodded slightly to me. I growled softly and glared at Axel.

"Could we have a private... Uh... Meeting really fast?" I asked.

"Go ahead," Nichelle said. "McKenna and I can watch the boy."

"Thanks," I said to the two then swiftly turned around and walked into the other room. Ethan, Jacob, Raymond, Mackenzie and Ryann followed me. Ryann closed the door behind us when all of us were in the room.

After the door was shut, I turned on my brothers and asked in a harsh whisper, "are you seriously thinking of actually helping him? He's the one who tried to kill me!"

"Yes we know, but he was just trying to protect his sister," Ethan answered calmly.

"And that makes it better how?"

"It doesn't make it better. If you were actually dead, I probably would have choked the life out of him by now, but you're not, and his sister is still in captivation."

"Plus it's our only real way of being able to get back into the building without being noticed," Jacob added. "They'll be expecting us back and they'll raise the security on the place."

"And like he said, we don't need to trust him. We can still set up our security measures to make sure he doesn't screw us over," Raymond said.

"Alright," I mutter softly. "Mackenzie? Ryann? What do you say?"

"We need him,"Mackenzie said. "We lost my dad when we tried to get out of there the first time. If we don't have some kind of help, there's no telling who we'll lose when we try to break back in."

Everyone looked at Ryann.

"I don't really like it, and I sure as heck don't like Axel, but I agree with Mackenzie. We need him, plus we can't just let that little girl continue to get tortured by Quentin and Tara."

Great. So I was the only one against letting Axel help us. "Fine," I growl. "He can help but if he steps out of line, we kill him. I don't want him leading us into a trap."

"I think we can all agree on that," Raymond said with a shrug.

We all filed out of the room again, with me leading. I walked as close to Axel as I could without feeling uncomfortable and crossed my arms. He was still standing near the door though it had been shut long ago.

"We'll help," I said simply.

Axel grinned widely. "Really?" He asked.

"Yes, but you're going to need to tell us everything you can about Quentin and Tara."

"Well... ah... I actually don't know much," Axel said. He scratched the back of his head in embarrassment.

"What do you mean 'you don't know much'?"

"I mean that I know Quentin and Tara want to take over the world but I don't know how or when."

"You've been with them for, what, four maybe five years and you don't know their plans?"

"We'll it's not like they shared them with me a ton." Axel rolled his eyes.

"Do you think they'll carry out with their plan in the next couple of weeks?" Nichelle asked.

"No, probably not," he said.

"Okay, how about you go back to the compound, try to find out what you can on Quentin and Tara and make sure they don't hurt your sister anymore. You can call us if you have problems," Nichelle said. "Emily needs to do some training with her powers anyway so a few weeks could do us well."

"Wait, so you do have powers?" Axel asked, wide eyed.

"Yes," I said and rubbed my face in irritation.

"I knew it," he declared triumphantly. "Anyway," Axel nodded to Nichelle, "that sounds like a good plan and I will keep in touch."

Axel slipped out the door, closing it behind him.

Ryann let out a deep sigh and feel onto one of the multiple couches in the room. "Well, looks like we've got a couple of weeks to plan our next move then."

"It would seem that way," Jacob says, "but two weeks passes by faster than you may think."
