"Come on!" Raymond said as soon as the wall exploded. He began running toward it and I followed him.

We stepped through the fence and then into the building. "Jacob?" I called out loudly, worried he had gotten hurt.

"Emily, shush," he hissed from inside. "We need to be quiet. They had security here."

"Oh and the wall you just blew up was totally quiet," I said and rolled my eyes. "Let's just go find Ethan and the others. Raymond, can you tell where they are?"

"Yes ma'am, just follow me," he said with a small grin. He then started back down the halls rather quickly. Jacob and I followed him.

There were guards laying all over the ground around us and I could only assume that they had gotten caught in the explosion. It was almost actually kind of sad to see them like that. I mean, some of the guards may have just lost their lives. That's kind of sad.

"Hold on a second," Raymond suddenly said. He stopped right before a corner and held his arm out to stop Jacob and I.

"What?" I asked.

He peered around the corner then pulled his head back and groaned.

"What is it?" Jacob asked this time.

"A ton of guards," Raymond answered shortly.

"Alright. What do we do?" I asked. Raymond shrugged.

"Charge them?"

"What, no. That'll get us killed," Jacob cut in. "We need to devise a plan."

"But we have no time," I hissed. I could hear the footsteps of the guards practically upon us now. Jacob narrowed his eyes but before he could say anything, I heard a dart soar through the air. It hit Jacob in the shoulder and he almost immediately collapsed with a groan of pain.

"Emily, get back!" Raymond yelled, shoving me back against the wall. He took out two guns that he had with him for he was well stocked in weapons and handed one to me.

"They're just darts unfortunately so they won't kill but they'll do the trick."

"What's wrong with Jacob?" I asked Raymond worriedly and looked back at my brother.

"I have no idea but I promise. If we get out of this, we'll figure it out."

If we even get out of this of course.

While Raymond began shooting at the guards, I attempted to drag Jacob behind the wall with us. And while I'd like to say we lasted a long time, we really didn't.

After Jacob was set up behind us, I went to go help Raymond with the guards. He had shot a few of them but it didn't take long for one of the fancy darts that Jacob got hit with to bury itself into Raymond and it took even less time for one to find me.

Oddly enough, the first dart didn't have the same effect on me as it did Raymond and Jacob. The two of them were rolling around and groaning in pain. Whereas for me, the dart did nothing. Well nothing except cause a small twinge of discomfort.

The guards quickly shot another dart at me though and this time, I fell unconscious.
