Ketsu held her staff in her hand and rested the tip on the floor as she was sat at the back of the Phantom, opposite to Sabine and aside Chopper. Zeb was piloting the ship back to this supposed Rebel fleet. Ketsu was about to get a good luck at the opposition that stood against the Empire...and she could assume that it wouldn't be anything too impressive.
"Sabine's talents are being wasted with these people" She thought. "Their cause is pointless. The Empire can't be stopped, not with some mere A-wings and a few detonators"
She was deeply disappointed in Sabine...there wasn't much she could do though, the girl had made her choice...she was a Rebel. But Ketsu felt that she could be so much better as a bounty hunter, alongside her. Not a day has went by since seeing Sabine again where Ketsu had not thought of what her days would be like if she had her friend at her side...but no, she hardly saw her...a lot of their time was spent talking to each other over a comlink.
"That's no way to have a relationship..."
She feared that Sabine would grow apart from her if she was always separated from her...perhaps fall for that Ezra boy instead. Ketsu would hate that, because it would only show further how apart they've grown. If Ketsu lost Sabine, lost her friendship? Or her love? It would kill her.
"But this isn't her fault...it's my fault" Ketsu admitted. "Of course she was going to make new friends and connections since I abandoned her..."
Still...Ketsu was going to be quite unhappy with the people who had taken Sabine from her. Ketsu figured that her friend would have quickly joined up with her again, after promising that the former would not betray her once more with all her heart. The new connections Sabine had made, however, were too strong...it complicated things for Ketsu.
"Well I'm going to meet these people. What makes them so great? What is it about them that made Sabine choose them over me?"
When Ketsu looked opposite to herself, she saw Sabine smiling at her. Ketsu returned her smile and looked at the droid, who was also looking at her.
"Remember Sabine, I'm here to help you specifically..."Ketsu began. "I'm not getting involved with your insurgent missions or any of that sort..."
Sabine nodded. She got the idea of what Ketsu meant...she still thought that the Rebel cause was hopeless. Sabine wanted to change her mind, to have her realise that this cause was worth every life and detonator used to fight for it. Introducing her to the crew? That was the first step.
But for now, she's just here to help with my duties.
"I understand" Sabine acknowledged. "But you know, you might as well stay over for tonight...my work is pretty extensive..."
Ketsu chuckled. Suppose she could stay for a single night, but she had no intention of being swayed in the slightest to get involved in a pointless mission...which Sabine may no doubt attempt. Very well, she'd spend that little extra time with Sabine.
"I want her to become a bounty hunter...she wants me to become a rebel..." She thought. "Opposing ideals. But who's in the right?"
The Phantom existed hyperspace to join the rest of the fleet. The location of the Rebels of the Outer Rim was now at Ketsu's use...under normal conditions she would've sold the information to the Black Sun, who would in turn sell it to the Empire. But...with Sabine among them? She would have to restrain such a temptation.
"I have plenty of money, anyways"
"And we're here..." Zeb told the Mandalorians as he stood up from the controls. "Suppose you'll want to see the others right now, huh?"
Sabine nodded enthusiastically and took Ketsu's hand, leading the older Mandalorian out the Phantom and into the Ghost.
This is gonna be goooood.
"This is gonna be awkward" Ketsu said to herself.Ezra was in the Cockpit of the ship when he heard Zeb behind him. The man took a seat and looked nervously at the boy.
"Sabine's brought her girlfriend..." He whispered as he pointed behind himself. "She's introducing her to Kanan!"
Ezra looked surprised, almost shocked. He was nervous now, this person whoever they may be means a lot to Sabine and they may probably be aware that he also shares great feelings for Sabine. After all the lesbian fantasies he thought about between Sabine and her unknown girlfriend, it was going to feel a tiny bit awkward for him.
"It's okay. Stay cool" He told himself to build up courage. "Just say hi and be respectful. She's probably a nice person...and you're totally not jealous"
Oh, he was jealous. He was totally jealous.
"What's she like, Zeb?" Ezra asked curiously, wanting to know as much as possible before meeting this girl. "Is...is she nice?"
Zeb shrugged, he didn't really see much from the Mandalorian as he was too busy being awkward. However, she appeared friendly for the most part. What did he have to fear exactly? Aside from enduring more of Sabine's extreme weirdness?
"Well uh, I guess she's fine..." He said reluctantly, but not filling Ezra with much confidence. "She's got a pretty scary look going on...go meet her and see for yourself"
"Alright...alright..." He whispered as he took a deep breathe and headed outside the Cockpit to the Lounge. His heartbeat raised as he grew closer to see this mystery girl which Sabine hadn't even told him the name of her...but that would change by today.
"Try not to be too red with jealousy!" The Lasat teasingly called after him with a laugh.
Ezra rolled his eyes and headed into the Lounge.
