A Plan

Boba piloted the Slave 1 out of Garel's orbit and prepared the ship for hyperspace to Lothal. He glanced at the unconscious Mando girl on the cockpit floor.
"I wonder what you did to be worth one million credits" he thought.
Didn't matter to him, though. This might just be the easiest million credits he's made.
"Hand over the girl. Ask to release the boy" he went through his plan in his head. "If they don't give him up initially, don't press further".
His ships scanner picked up a signal from behind the Slave 1.
"Someone is following me...?" He wondered.
Well, he would leave a little surprise for them.

Hera piloted the Ghost to follow the signal tracker that was concealed in Sabine's boot. She had locked onto the bounty hunters ship and was steadily following it.
Zeb, Kanan and Chopper were in the Cockpit also, quietly waiting and worrying for both Ezra and Sabine's safety.
The Twi'lek pilots eyes widened when the ships scanners picked up hostile devices littering the path between the Ghost and the bounty hunter ships.
"Mines!?" She called out in surprise, steering the ship out of its current path.
Kanan spotted the ship steer around and make a bee-line straight for the Ghost.
"Hera! He's coming this way!" He yelled out as he pointed out the ships cockpit.
The bounty hunters ship began firing a stream of rapid lasers. The Ghost's shields took the shots well, but it was frightening how impressively accurate the barrage of assault was.
"I'm manning the turret!" Zeb called out as he ran out the Cockpit.
Kanan stopped him briefly by grabbing his shoulder.
"Zeb, be careful! Sabine's on that ship!" He informed him.
The Lasat nodded and head out to control the turret on the top of the Ghosts hull.
Hera steered the ship desperately from the relentless assault from the bounty hunter, his shots were just barely missing as she attempted to manoeuvre around him.
Zeb steered the turret and carefully returned fire on the smaller ship. He managed to get a few good shots in, but the ships shields held well.

Boba Fett steered the Slave 1 away from the pursuing ship, avoiding its line of fire.
"Manned by several people, who could be interesting in pursuing me?" He wondered. "Unless these are the Rebels, friends of the girl?"
The possibility seemed likely. Perhaps this was 'The Ghost' that he was been informed about. If that was truly the case, destroying them wouldn't necessarily be breaking his deal with the girl...he said that he'd take HER to the boy...not her friends.
"Thankfully for her, I'm feeling merciful today".
He flew the Slave 1 a distance above the Ghost and unleashed another barrage of fire to weaken the shields further. As he sped up close, he fired a missile at the rather large ship...easy to hit.
And sure enough, the missile made contact. The ships shields saved it from total decimation but there was damage enough to slow it down and perhaps temporarily disable it.
"As long as I get the time I need, and make sure I'm not being tricked" he told himself.
He zoomed past the ship and entered hyperspace for Lothal.

Hera frustratingly punched the control systems. The ship was entering a moment of brief unresponsiveness.
"We okay?" Kanan asked her.
She sighed and nodded.
"We're fine" she assured. "but we've taken damage enough to slow us down, for now".
Kanan reminded himself that for as long as the tracker was safely hidden by Sabine, they would be able to follow her anywhere.
"When we get going again, we gotta keep following that signal...it'll hopefully lead us straight to Sabine...and Ezra" he said.
Zeb entered the Cockpit again, moving past Chopper who was making small repairs to the ships shield systems.
"We just got our butts kicked, didn't we?" He asked. "Whoever was piloting that ship sure knew what he was doing".
Kanan and Hera didn't give him a response, for their minds were too focused on getting Sabine and Ezra back in the ship safely. That's all that mattered to them, now.

The Slave 1 came out of lightspeed to entered the Lothal system. The fleet of Star Destroyers was just as he left it.
"Now...THIS time I'll get what I want" Boba smiled to himself as he opened communications with the fleet command once again.
"I'm back again" He told the an Imperial communications officer. "Bay twelve, I assume?"
He was given confirmation of his clearance to land. He supposed his employers were already waiting for him...
"And my million credits waiting for me, as well"
The Fett brought the ship into docked bay twelve, where he could already see the two darkly dressed figures waiting side-by-side for his arrival.
"I'd like to see that lady be so smug this time" he thought amused.
He left the controls and picked up the girl in his arms. Looks like she won't be awake to say her farewells to him...but that was okay with him.
"Just business, sister" he said to her. "A Mandalorian of all people would understand that".
"Willing to sell out a sister, huh?" he heard in his head, the girls voice speaking to him. "Y'know...if you weren't so fuckin greedy..."
The Slave 1 lowered its ramp, and he stepped out of the cargo hold. The Inquisitors waiting for him looked quite pleased to see him carrying the girl in his arms.
"Ah, very...very good..." The female of the two said.
They both stepped up to him, and the Mirialan looked at the unconscious human.
"Well, suppose you've got some use in you, after all..." She said with a slight smile, her eyes not removing from the girl.
"I'll take my credits now" Boba stated.
The woman nodded and took out a valuable-looking credit chip. She held it out to Boba, who took it while still holding the girl. He inspected the chip...and it looked genuine enough.
Fifth Brother held out his arms, silently demanding the rebel be given to him.
The bounty hunter looked at the limp girl in his arms, and then back at the sinister reptilian-like Inquisitor in front of him.
He, almost reluctantly, placed her in his arms. Right as he did so, he felt a wave of regret spike through his body. A feeling he didn't know he was capable of experiencing anymore.
"Might I make a request of you?" Boba asked the Mirialan, and she looked at him curiously. "Is it possible, since you don't need him, that you might release the boy? He could..."
He quickly thought of an excuse.
"...well, I believe he'd bring a bounty to Jabba the Hutt. He's not any use to you, but he may be useful to me".
The Inquisitor smirked and gave off a short laugh.
"I might've, but I've grown to like him...a lot" she sighed. "...you got what you wanted, and you completed your contract. Leave now, hunter".
Not wanting to appear weak or in anyway sympathetic, he nodded and took one last glance at the orange Mandalorian in the Inquisitors arms. Suddenly, the million credits in his hands didn't feel all that satisfying. Regardless, he turned to enter his ship and wasted no time leaving the docking bay.
When a sizeable distance was placed between himself and the Star Destroyer, he held out his credit chip in his hands.
"I did my part of the deal...I got her to her friend". He told himself.
Yet, why did he feel like he betrayed her?
