Arrival

The main hanger of the Imperial headquarters of Lothal was filled with the menacing hum of an Imperial shuttle making its landing. In await, a small squad of Stormtroopers as well as a rather nervous Imperial officer were standing like statues.
It wasn't the biggest arrival he had stood in, often when figures of significant importance were to arrive, there would be entire battalions standing neatly in line...here though? Not so much.
The officer wiped the sweat on his forehead, he was informed that with the demise of the Grand Inquisitor assigned to them, there would be a replacement soon enough. He knew to be suspicious though, he was aware that the price for failure was very emphasised within the Empire. He didn't know what to expect.
He gave his brow one final wipe and stood to attention as the shuttles ramp was lowered.
Two black figures walked down the ramp. The feminine figure to the right was much shorter and far more slim compared to her buff male counterpart on the left.
The Grand Inquisitors replacements.
The woman had a small probe droid on her shoulder, and the man towering over her walked slowly with her. They had the words "trouble" written all over them. They were no Lord Vader, but they were the next worst thing.
"Inquisitors", The officer greeted the two beings. "We have expected your arrival. I assume you're here as replacement to the late Grand Inquisitor?"
The woman took a few steps toward him as the probe droid on her shoulder moved down her arm. She held it up like it was some sort of bird.
"Oh yes", she responded. The mask she wore caused her voice to come out like she was some droid. "And we're also here to take a gander at the body. You did recover it, yes?"
The Officer almost jumped as her last sentence had a sudden sharpness compared to the smoothness of her initial speech.
He cleared his throat.
"Y-yes, yes...I'll take you to him now".
The officer turned his back to the Inquisitors and started walking. He didn't look back and he didn't slow down, he just wanted this to be over without his life ending with it.

The Imperial entered a small room with grey walls. In the centre of the room there was a table with a concealed lump on the top.
The Inquisitors walked behind him and went their separate ways around the table.
"Leave us". The intimidating green-skinned man said to the almost-trembling officer, his voice had a faint hiss to it, but had quite a calm tone. The officer gave a very slight bow and hastily left the room.
As the door quietly slid behind him, the large Inquisitor gripped the sheet and pulled it off. On the table lay the still corpse of the Grand Inquisitor. His head was placed above his decapitated torso and his lightsaber was placed on his chest.
"Well, this is good news...", the female said as her mask slid from her face, revealing her bright yellow skin and eyes. "With the Pau'an gone, this presents me with..." She brisked her hand over her chin. "...new opportunities..."
The green man glanced to her and clenched his fists.
"You mean us, Seventh Sister".
The woman smirked and gave a short chuckle.
"Yes, of course. Fifth Brother".
Seventh Sister turned her attention to the cold body of the Grand Inquisitor.
"So, how about putting those adept skills of yours to good use?" She told Fifth Brother with some slight sarcasm. "After all, apparently you have a higher midichlorian count..."
Fifth Brother went to Seventh Sisters side and gazed down at the Pau'an's site of wound. It was a clean cut, only a lightsaber could have done this.
But then noticed something interesting.
"This was done with a lightsaber, no question...likely that a Jedi ended him". He placed a hand on the side of the lifeless head and turned it, taking note of the large rip in the neck.
"But this is something else. Like...teeth. Someone had bitten him in the neck...and took out his throat when they pulled out".
It was particularly savage, unlikely that a Jedi would do this.
Seventh Sister stood on a lean, with her arms crossed and a lack of interest on her face. "Okay, so who killed him? The Jedi? Or did the Jedi decapitate his already dead corpse?"
It was unlikely that someone would bite into his neck after he was decapitated, so the wound must've occurred before the decapitation did.
"He was going to die anyways, with a wound like that. I suppose the decapitation...was a sign of a mercy kill...but the question is: who caused the bite wound?"
He studied the ugly neck-wound again, it was took small and too...neat to have been made by a creature.
"Someone did this", he concluded. "But the answer we need is...who?"

Fifth Brother browsed the selection of autopsy tools and pulled out something that resembled the shape of a blaster.
"Perhaps science can aid us". He wondered as he brought the nozzle of the tool to the Pau'an's neck. He pressed it against the wound and a few bleeps followed.
Seventh Sister watched him work as she held a probe droid on her arm.
"I hope you're not wasting our time. You don't seem the type for science...you seem more of the...simple sort". She gave off a faint smirk.
Fifth Brother did not find her amusing and merely continued working.
"If there's any sign of DNA on this wound...we can identify it to give us a rough estimate of what did this".
He transferred the device to a small mainframe and injected the nozzle into it. The mainframe began to trace the DNA to any known sources.
Information then popped to life, and Fifth Brother began to mumble to himself as he read.
"Imperial number 3756...Species: Pau'an..."
His double-eyelids then both widened as the mainframe identified the foreign DNA on the Pau'an's neck. Seventh Sister walked to his side and looked with him.
Fifth Brother gave a breath of surprise.
"Imperial number 8241...species: human...gender: female...well, it seems who we're looking for is actually on the imperial database..."
A file image of a brown haired girl in Imperial cadet uniform appeared. She had short hair, brown eyes and tanned skin.
"Imperial cadet, Sabine Wren", Seventh Sister read out aloud. "She was a cadet at the Imperial academy of Mandalore...before escaping with another cadet by the name of Ketsu Onyo".
The two Inquisitors looked at each other, as thoughts trailed their heads.
"Is it possible...", the yellow woman began. "...that this is the rebel that our Grandmaster claimed he took and..."
She almost shuddered. She had no remorse for the Insurgents but even she could imagine that being raped by someone like him would be...most unfortunate.
"Probably". Her towering counterpart replied.
Seventh Sister shut off the mainframe and glanced at the Pau'an before leaving the room, Fifth Brother close behind her.
"Well, we know who killed our Grandmaster. All we must do is find the Insurgents and bring them to justice. To kill the one who killed our Grandmaster would offer me...", she grinned to the vision of herself being made Grand Inquisitor and apprentice to the Sith Master Vader. "...a most advantageous position".
Fifth Brother huffed from behind her.
"To be Grandmaster you must be the strongest...", he said calmly, almost mockingly. "...and we both know who the strongest here is".
Seventh Sister laughed as she turned around to looked up to the green-skinned man.
"You? You're clumsy, you can't even hold your lightsaber correctly. I could end you before you-", her breath was suddenly cut short as Fifth Brother held his hand out to her. She realised that he was using the Force to choke her. Though she'd hate to admit it, while Fifth Brother was very inferior to her in lightsaber combat, he was superior in the ways of the Force.
As she was choked, she shown as little signs of struggle as possible. She stood firmly and kept her face straight as she stared into his pale-green eyes, only a slight and quiet gurgle from her throat was being released.
"Come, my sister...", he released his hold on her and walked past her. Seventh Sister took a quick breath and looked down at the floor. "Let us seek out the insurgents...and claim my right to the rank of Grandmaster".
She gritted her teeth as she turned to walk behind him.
One day, when you least expect it...your pathetic duelling abilities will be no match for me.
The Inquisitors walked down the corridor, and made way back to the hanger.
I will become Grandmaster.
