Sabine had found herself within the darkness of some empty void. She did not know where she was, and she was confused on why she was not falling without end with the lack of solid ground under her feet.
She turned a full circle, trying to make sense of where she was, in the blackness she could see fair stars...it was like she was standing in some part of space.
Weird.
When she turned around again she saw a mirror image of herself, looking straight at her. She inspected the Sabine in front of her and waved her arm to see if it was a reflection. It was not.
"I'm not a reflection", the girl said.
Sabine took a step back and gave a confused look, her jaw dropped.
"W-wha? What are you? You're me!?", the girl in front of her was identical to her. "I...I never realised my skin was that tanned..."
The Sabine twin placed her hand on the real Sabine's shoulder.
"You're having another dream", she told her. "I'm just a part of your mind".
Sabine curled her lips into question.
Another dream? Huh, can't say I've had something like this before. Might as well...enjoy the ride I suppose.
"A part? What part?"
The reflection looked at her, a completely emotionless look. There was a brief silence before it answered.
"Sadness".
The copy in front of Sabine then dissipated, and three more Sabine copies appeared behind her, she spun around and was even more surprised to see multiple reflections of herself. They each stepped forward and greeted her.
"Hi, I'm your happiness!", the copy took Sabine arm and shook it enthusiastically. Sabine looked rather surprised.
"Uh, hi..."
The copy smiled and left her, dissipating, and another one came up.
"Yo, I'm your desires", the copy came up to her and wrapped her arms around her waist. "And I know what you desire most right now..."
The copy gave Sabine a peck on her cheek and firmly grasped the sides of her hips. The real Mandalorian giggled and smirked.
"Mmm, do ya now?", she found her own flirtatious attitude towards herself strangely arousing.
The lusty copy then also dissipated, leaving a rather shaken and pale Sabine in front of her. She stared at the copy, who's head was looking down at the empty black void.
"I'm your regret", the pale girl looked up at Sabine and she was shocked to see a mangled face of what used to be her own. It was like someone had scraped her against a floor for hours...her right eyeball was hanging out of its socket and her nose wasn't even there...
Sabine gasped and looked away, finding the image in front of her very disturbing...especially since it was basically herself.
What the fuck is that!?
When she peaked at the girl again, she was gone.
She took several steps back and turned around, she bumped into what was a boy who looked about the same age as her. His appearance was strongly similar to herself, he had brown hair, tanned skin, was wearing Mandalorian armour, bright brown eyes...
Wow, it's like a male version of me.
"Uh, are you my gender-bender side?", she asked the boy, genuinely interested. The image in front of her shook his head.
He walked towards her and brought his head closer to hers, and Sabine leaned back slightly. She noticed that the boy was wearing small muffs on his ears and his teeth were pointy...jagged.
Well, he's got a bit of me...and a bit of...of...
"I think you know who I am", he said with a faint smile. "I'm what could've been, who you could've had".
Sabine's mood then sank. Her heart thumped in her chest, she felt a tremble in her lips and a sudden desire to cry. She looked dead at the boy with wide eyes, frozen in place.
"Why couldn't you have let me live?", he asked her with that same smile. "Did you not...want me? Were you really that selfish to deprive me of life?"
Sabine then felt whimpers leave her lips unvoluntarily. She took a step back from the boy and let her tear drops fall from her eyes into the empty void.
No...
She lightly shook her head and swallowed hard.
The image then moved closer to her again, his arms extending from his sides.
"Oh come on, do you have anything to say? Would you not have liked to have held me in your arms? I would've been yours. A little bit of you...something to call your own. Imagine all the good times you could've had with me..."
His smile was unmoving, and his advancement towards her was increasingly unsettling.
She sniffed and lifted her open hand towards his face, she went to feel his cheek on the surface of her gloves...
But as soon as contact was made, the boy dissipated into shiny white particulates.
The girl watched with an open mouth as the particles of light spread out in front of her and disappeared, and she was alone in the darkness once more.
"I'm sorry you didn't want me, mom...", she heard him say, his words echoing as her vision faded.
