Unexpected

Chapter 7

A few weeks later...

It was my 12 week scan today and I was lucky enough to have the day off. Things were going really well at the moment. Cory and I were on talking terms and spending time together and Matthew and I had numerous dates and decided we wanted to give things a go so I was now his girlfriend. One thing I knew was that Cory wasn't very happy with it.

When 1:00pm came I got my car keys and drove to the hospital. I bought myself a new car not long ago so I could begin to get myself around again. When I got to the hospital I got out my car and went upstairs and booked myself in. Cory was working and so he was meeting me.

I saw Cory come in and they sat down with me. The nurse called my name and we all went in together. I got on the bed and pulled my shirt up and waited for the lady to do my scan, I knew how these things worked and it was cold gel.

She rubbed the gel on my stomach and got going with the scan. She looked the screen and then turned it around to face us.  smiled seeing the baby and I saw Cory's face lit up and he seemed happy.

"So is the baby okay?" I asked.

"Yeah everything seems fine. Right well we will get you booked in for your next scan okay,"

"That's fine,"

"It will be sent in the post," she said "Would you like pictures?

"Please," I said.

I wiped the gel off my stomach and put my t-shirt done. She then got the picture for us and Cory and I went outside.

I gave him a picture and he smiled at me "That was amazing,"

"Yeah it was. It made it so much more real,"

"Thank you,"

"For what?"

"Not getting rid of the baby and for letting me be involved,"

"I wouldn't have it any other way,"

Cory hugged me and kissed my cheek. He walked of into the hospital and I got in my car. I drove home and got very excited for my evening with Matt.

Later on I heard the doorbell and I let Matt in. He kissed me softly and I kissed him back. He came in and then we both ate together. He bought Chinese which was my favourite and since getting pregnant I was craving it.

We both began eating at the table together "Does Cory still have a problem with us?" Matt asked.

"I... I just think he doesn't like the idea of me being with somebody it doesn't matter who it would was. I'm pregnant with his child and he wants to be the one that is protecting me,"

"I'm just glad it isn't personal,"

"I don't think it is,"

When we were done eating I grabbed some drinks and then we went over to the sofa and we sat together and watched a film "I was thinking maybe tonight you might stay the night. We have been together a while now and I like your company,"

"I will pop home and get some stuff. I'll be back soon,"

I was ready to take things further in our relationship and I was hoping he was too. With that thought I went upstairs and put a silk nighty on.

Soon enough the door went and I let him in. He saw me and smiled "Wow you look gorgeous,"

"Thanks,"

"I... um... I guess this is for me,"

"Yeah something like that,"

"Are you sure you want to do this? You are pregnant and do you think Cory will be happy about this?"
