Unexpected

Chapter 13

I promised Emma I would go and see her today and see the little ones. I was excited to actually see them and see Emma. I had never held a baby before and I was looking forward to having a cuddle with the babies.

It was 8am and I was waking up slowly. I had another day off after today before I went back to work and went back to being tired but at least my hours were shorter. Once I had got changed I went downstairs and saw Cory cooking breakfast. He was such a great person and he really cared about me. Since I found out I was pregnant everything had happened so quickly and I wanted it to slow down but it wasn't and before I know it I'll be having the baby.

Cory saw me and smiled "Morning... How are you feeling?" he asked.

"Yeah I'm feeling good. I'm going to see Emma in a bit. I wont be long there I just... She wanted to see me and I promised her I'd swing by,"

"That's fine. Are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm sure,"

"You just seem a little distracted,"

"I have just been thinking about how everything is going so fast and how things have been done backwards. Normally you fall in love, move in together, get married and have a baby but we are done things the wrong way round,"

"I know but it cant be helped. Life doesn't happen in the way we want sometimes,"

"I guess not,"

"It just matters that we enjoy it,"

"You're right,"

"I'm always right,"

He served the breakfast up and we sat down together at the table to eat. I hadn't had much morning sickness and when I did it wasn't much so I was lucky really and it meant that I got to eat breakfast and enjoy it.

I finally finished eating and Cory smiled at me "Why don't you pop and see Emma and then we can spend some time together this afternoon?" he asked.

"Yeah okay,"

I grabbed my car keys and kissed Cory goodbye. He smiled at me and then I went to see Emma.

I arrived at the hospital and went to the ward that Emma was in. I got to her room and saw her holding one the babies. She saw me and smiled "Hey," she said.

"Hi," I said walking in the room. I sat down on the chair next to her and she looked at me.

"So I've not long ago had two babies and you look worse than me,"

"I'm fine and for once can we not talk about me and talk about you and your enjoyment,"

"Okay we can. Do you want to hold her?"

She passed the baby girl to me and I held her in my arms "What's her name?" I asked.

"Well we only just figured that out this morning. Mia Lily Willis,"

"That's a gorgeous name,"

"Thank you,"

I held her in my arms and I smiled at her. Now I actually couldn't wait to have a baby and have the feeling of being a Mother.

"What have you called the baby boy?" I asked.

"Joshua Rhys Willis,"

"How did you come up with such beautiful names?"

"I don't know. To be honest Mark thought of a few of the names,"

"I cant wait to have my baby now,"

"Just take all the sleep you can because I've hardly slept all night,"

"I cant tell,"

"You're modest,"

Emma and I spent some time with the babies and then Mark came "I'll get home now Cory is waiting for me and we are going to spend some time together but I'll ring you later see how you all are okay," I said.

"Okay. Have fun with Cory," Emma replied.

20 minutes later I arrived home and Cory was sat on the sofa with coffee. The smell of coffee made me want it. He saw me and then took the coffee in the kitchen and put it down the sink "Don't chuck the coffee down the sink," I said.

"But you cant have it and it's not fair,"

"If you want coffee then drink it,"

"Fine,"

"Good. So what did you want to do?"

"I thought maybe a bit of baby shopping. Get a few bits we need that we haven't got yet,"

"Okay well let me make some tea to take with us and we can go,"

I went to the kitchen and made myself a cup of tea and then I got in the car with Cory and we went into town to go shopping.

I loved shopping for baby stuff and I couldn't wait to have my scan so then I would know what colour to buy. Deep down I wanted a boy but if I had a girl then I would still be happy and I would still have a healthy baby and that would be all I wanted.

When we got into town we went round the baby stores and bought some stuff that we wanted to get the baby. Also we went into the maternity store so I could get some clothes seen as my stomach was growing.

I bought some nice stuff and then we went home. Cory brought the bags in insisting that I shouldn't being carrying things. We stood in the nursery and I put the clothes away "We have too much white. I want to find out what we are having so we can get blue or pink," I said.

Cory nodded "In a few weeks we can find out,"

"I want to know now,"

"Me too,"

After unpacking I got the presents that I had bought for Mia and Joshua and wrapped them "I'll pop them to the hospital later if I get some time. If not I'll do it tomorrow," I said.

"Do it tomorrow before work I know you don't start till 12 and you finish at 5:30. I'm glad you have sorted the shifts out,"

"Yeah I need more rest and not get worn out,"

When everything was done Cory said he would look so I let him. He cooked us a lovely meal. I was lucky to have him and I was glad that I did have him. My Prince Charming who I had never realised could be.

That night I went to bed happy and dreaming a dream which I knew wouldn't come true. My Dad was holding a baby boy in his arms which was my baby and they were in the nursery in the rocking chair. I wanted it to be real.

Sorry for a short chapter and long update. College seems to be taking over my life.
