Unexpected

Chapter 9

When I woke in the morning. The bed was empty. I remember Cory being with me and I put a blanket on him in the night. A sudden sickness feeling brushed over me and I ran to the bathroom and was sick in the toilet. I then felt somebody holding back my hair and I knew it was Cory. When I was done I washed my face and then I went downstairs with him.  

"How are you feeling?" he asked me.

"Much better thank you and thank you for staying last night. I woke in the night and saw you asleep in my bed so I just put a blanket over you and left you to sleep. I didn't mind anyway,"

"It's okay I understand. I thought I'd make you breakfast this morning seen as you have the day off I thought we could spend it together,"

I was lucky to get a day off a week. They had plenty of nurses at the hospital we could have that and I was glad. Normally I had either a Saturday or Sunday off and this week it was Saturday.

"That sounds good. I wanted to go shopping today I need some maternity clothes. Mine are getting a bit tight,"

"I'll come with you. Also in the next couple of months I thought I could paint the nursery if we find out the sex of the baby,"

"I want to find out if you do,"

"Yeah I do,"

"Then we can find out and that sounds good. I'm glad you are willing to do all this,"

"I'm the babies Dad and your best friend. Anyway even if I wasn't the Dad I would still do all this,"

"Your amazing I hope you know that,"

"It's been mentioned once or twice,"

Both of us giggled and we sat down to eat breakfast. He did an amazing fry up and I loved it so much. Everything was tasty. He knew how I liked everything cooked such as the middle of my fried egg runny.

When I had finished eating I smiled "I'm going to get changed," I said.

He let me go and then I went upstairs and put some loose clothes on. I needed something with a bit of room. Once I finished getting changed I grabbed some shoes and I went downstairs. Cory was ready and we got into his car and we went into town and went to start shopping.

We had been shopping for a while now. I had some new maternity clothes so from now on I wasn't in my normal tight fitting clothes. As we walked around the shopping centre I saw a baby store and it looked amazing. All the things I could see in the window I wanted. I then looked at him "I was thinking we could do the nursery. I know we don't know the sex of the baby but I like the idea of having it white and black,"

"That sounds good,"

He noticed I was looking at the shop and he smiled "Want to take a look?" he asked.

I nodded and we both went towards it. Once inside I began looking at the different things. I saw a lovely white crib and then I saw some other stuff I wanted. We decided to get it and we put it in the car and drove to the DIY store to get some paint and wallpaper.

After we were all done we went to my house and Cory smiled "Can I get started today on the nursery?" he asked.

I nodded "Yeah if you want too,"

"I do,"

"I might see if Emma wants to come over for a chat while you are painting and wallpapering,"

"That sounds good,"

I rang Emma up and she said she had nothing on and so she came over. Cory was getting started on the nursery and I heard the door. I went to get the door and saw her "Hey," I said.
