6 years later...

"CORY, EVELYN, MASON, MAYA,"

My husband and and our three children were outside running around with a football while I was cooking for our family. My Mum, Emma, Mark, the twins Joshua and Mia and Lea and Olivia.

Yes. Three children. Evelyn was now 7 years old and we had twins Mason and Maya who were 4 years old. Emma and Mark's twins were 7 years old and Lea's daughter Olivia was 6 years old.

Cory, Evelyn and the twins came running. Cory came over to me and kissed my cheek and the kids went to wash their hands. The food was all on the table ready and the door went. I went to answer the door and everyone was here.

First my Mum came in. She gave me and Cory a hug and then went to find her grandkids. Emma and Mark came in with the twins. Lea then came in with Olivia.

It took time but mine and Cory's decision to have a baby for Lea was a good idea. She was so happy and so were we now. It took time and a lot of counselling to get over but every time I looked at Olivia I didn't see her as my daughter anymore. Cory and I took the decision a year after having Olivia to try for another baby. We got pregnant within 4 months and at our first scan we found out we were having twins. It was scary at first but we dealt with it. We never found out the sex of the babies but just waited for them to come. First I gave birth to a baby boy and then a baby girl.

All the kids went into the backyard to play together and us adults were sat together at the garden table while the kids played. My Mum and Lea were sat chatting, Mark and Cory were and Emma was talking to me.

"So Emma... Things seem so good with you and Mark now. I'm glad you got through your hardship," I said.

"Me too. Things are amazing. So good,"

I looked at her and saw the smile on her face "There is something you're not telling me,"

"I'm pregnant Jen. We only found out a few days ago. It's still early days but both of us are so happy,"

"Wow that's amazing. Congratulations,"

"We decided we wanted another baby. Seeing you and Cory have the twins made me want another one,"

I hugged her and smiled "I can't believe we've been best friends for nearly eight years now. We met when I was your nurse and I was scared at the fact I was pregnant with my best friends baby and now we're married and we've got three kids,"

"And I've got my twins, my man and another one on the way. I'm so lucky to have found you. I've never had a girl best friend,"

We both went to the table to get some food and sat eating together.

After a while I went inside to get more drinks. I stood filling up the water jug when Lea came in "Hey," she said.

"Hey. I'm so glad you were able to come today,"

"I wouldn't miss it. I'm glad I've got my baby boy in my life and now my little girl and I've got you to thank for it all,"

"Me? It's all down to you Lea,"

"You got Cory to get in contact with me and you and him had Olivia for me. I know how hard that time was and I'm so proud that both of you got through that together and have such an amazingly family now,"

"Thank you too Lea. You didn't have to come back from Australia for Cory and now my children have their Nanna. I'm sad things didn't work out with you and Cory's Dad,"

"We were obviously never meant to be. Anyway I wanted to tell you now I've seen you that I've met some one. His name is Ryan and he works at the cafe near the school. I go in for coffee every morning and he always serves me. We've been on a few dates and things are going well,"
