The next day...

I woke up around 6am and I saw that Cory was still with me. He was lay on the bed and fast asleep. I got up to use the bathroom and when I came back I saw that he was awake.

"Morning baby," he said to me.

I got back onto the bed and cuddled to him "Morning," I said.

Cory brought me back into his arm and held me closely. I held him tightly not wanting to let go. The doctor came in and smiled "Morning. I need to do some checks and if everything is okay then you can go home," he said.

I nodded "No problem," I said.

Cory got off the bed and sat down in the chair by the window while the Doctor did his checks. The Doctor looked at me and smiled "You can go home. Everything seems fine," he said to me.

I got my stuff ready and then went into the bathroom and freshened up and got dressed into some clothes. Cory and I went to the nurses station and I signed my discharge papers and then we made our way downstairs. Cory drove us home and we were silent the whole way home.

On our arrival home I saw three people stood outside the house. I smiled. I got out the car and went to our door to see my Mum, Evelyn and Emma. Evelyn with Mum's help came over to us. I picked her up and cuddled her hard "My baby girl," I said. She looked at me and smiled "Mumma," she said. Tears began falling from my eyes.

"Did anyone else just hear that?" I asked them.

They all nodded. Cory then took Evelyn from me as she was getting heavy and I was in a bit of pain from the labour. I hugged my Mum and then Emma. We all went inside and then I sat down on the sofa and put my legs up with a blanket over me. Cory made some tea, Evelyn started playing with her toys and Emma and my Mum sat with me.

"How are you doing sweetheart?" My Mum asked me.

"I'm trying to forget that I've just given birth and given the baby to Lea,"

"You can't forget sweetheart. I know when you look at the baby all you'll see is your and Cory in her but you'll just need to find a way to get through it,"

"I think Lea was a bit shocked last night. She was in the room with her baby and I shouted at her. I told her to get out,"

"I'm sure she'll understand. It is going to be hard but you will all get through it,"

I nodded. Cory came in with some teas and we spend some time talking together.

Around 3pm the door bell went. I was lay on the sofa, Evelyn was having her afternoon nap and Cory was sat on the other sofa watching TV.

"We expected anyone?" I asked him.

He shook his head "Might be your Mum coming over to check on you again," he suggested.

"I don't think so,".

Cory went to answer the door. Soon he walked back into the room followed by Lea and her baby. I immediately felt uneasy. When I looked at the baby the memories of my labour came flooding back and all of yesterdays events.

Lea sat down on the sofa next to Cory and I sat up "Lea. We didn't expect to see you today," I said to her.

"I needed to come and see you. After yesterday. You kicked me out your hospital room,"

"I'm sorry. I needed time,"

"Why? I just don't get it. You always knew that this baby was mine and not yours,"
