Unexpected

Chapter 5

It was time for me to go home. The end of the week had already come and as much as I didn't really want to, I had to go home. Being with my Mum was really good and I loved being with her but Cory was back home and I needed to go back for him.

I was on the plane and I only had half an hour before the plane touched down back home. Cory said that he would pick me up from the airport. The accident happened 2 weeks ago now and I was feeling better and ready to get back to work. I was now also 2 months pregnant and I had a tiny bump which you could hardly see so I stayed in clothes that were a little bit too big for me.

The plane landed and I got off the plane. When I got to the luggage belt I went to get my suitcase and somebody else grabbed it before me. I turned around and saw Cory "Thank you," I said.

"No problem,"

We both walked to his car and then he put the suitcase in as I got in. He drove us both to my house and the ride was pretty quiet. When we got to my house he brought in my suitcase and he went to make some tea "You know just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean that I cant do anything for myself. I am going back to work tomorrow," I said.

He chuckled and then made the tea "I know that but I just want to help you,"

"You can help me by being here for me. I don't need a baby sitter and I don't need somebody running around after me,"

"Okay... I understand,"

Both of us sat down to drink a cup of tea and he then sighed "What are we going to do about who the baby lives with?" he asked.

I turned to look at him "We have another 7 months left. I really don't want to be thinking about this stuff yet,"

"Yeah I guess we still have time,"

For the evening we both spent time together and we had a Chinese. We were still acting like best friends however I felt really different. Things didn't feel how they used to anymore. There was nothing I could do about it.

When the evening was over Cory left and I stood at the door with him.

"Goodnight Jen... Sleep well yeah,"

"Night... You sleep well too,"

"Would you like a lift to work in the morning?"

"Seen as I have no car and you work at the same place as me that would be good,"

"Okay I'll pick you up at 9:00,"

"See you then,"

"Bye,"

Cory left and then I went for a soak in the bath. I enjoyed being in the bath soaking. It gave me chance to think.

After half an hour in the bath I got out and then put my PJ's on. I got into bed and then I fell asleep not long after. I dreamt all night about the baby.

At 6:30am I was awake. I decided to get changed ready for work and then do myself some breakfast. When I finished getting ready the morning sickness kicked in. Once I was finished being sick I went downstairs and heard somebody knocking on the door. It was now only 7:00am and I wondered who would be knocking this time of morning.

I went over to the door and opened it. After I opened it I saw Cory "What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"I've come to take you out for breakfast,"

"Morning sickness has been a bit rough this morning I didn't think I'm up for much,"

"Just come along and see what you can manage,"
