Last Time

I grabbed my bag and walked out of her office. I reached the door to my chemistry class took a breath and turned the handled. Hoping no one would left their heads or stare at me but knowing they would anyway I pulled opened the door.

Chapter 21

All eyes of the students were on me once I stepped through the door. I saw Oceans' head pop up along with Sage's and I heard both of them asking if I was alright in my head. I gave them both a tight smile hoping that would ease their thoughts.

"Well, Miss Danvers I hope you have a good excuse to why you are late to class." He said as he walked over to me. I handed him the yellow nurses pass and told him what happened.

"Well I guess I can't give you detention for that now can I. All you have to do today is read 530 through 540 and answer the questions throughout the chapter and do you have any of last weeks homework?" he spoke.

"Oh yeah." I said as I reached into my messenger bag and pulled out my chemistry binder. I handed him all the work that I had gotten done the night before. "That's all I got done, the rest should get done tonight and then turned in tomorrow."

"You got more then a weeks worth of homework done in one night? Did you not do any of your other classes work?"

"Oh no actually most of last weeks homework is done, no offense but it wasn't that hard. Most of the work that my teachers gave me I had already done back in Florida so I knew what I was doing." I told him keeping my head down.

"Well then I don't think you will have much problems with tonight's work." Mr. Efaw said then turned and walked into his office. I made my way back to my seat in the back of the room right next to Ocean. Everyone's eyes were still staring at me as I walked to the back of the room and all I wanted to do was put my ear buds in and blast the peering eyes away from me. I reached my seat just as Sage turned around in his.

"Are you alright Ronnie?" He asked as I sat down and sat my binder down on the table.

"Yeah I'm fine." I said shaking my head as though it was a normal incident. "I guess Trace told you guys."

"It doesn't matter who told us, we all felt it when it happened." Ocean said looking at me as I pulled my chem book out of my bag.

"Wait, what do you mean you felt it?" I asked

"When someone has been hurt in a pack, the pack fells it." The words formed in my head like Ocean and Sage was talking out loud to me and not me reading them.

"Woa!" I said quietly.

"I told you!" Sage said "It takes a while to get use to it Ronnie but it's a way cooler way to talk." Again the words formed inside my head.

"When did that start?" I asked out loud really just to myself then to anyone.

"While you were passed out, we all started to hear your voice. Don't worry we were all freaked out just as you are now."
