Trace's POV

I have been over at Sage and Jake's house all weekend trying to see if Ronnie really is the Dodge Challenger driver. The car has been parked in the driveway but no one's come out. There also a red car in the driveway but I can't tell what type of car it is. I'm hoping for Ocean's sake it's not emo girl. I've been planning on how to go about all of his for an hour now, just sitting in my car looking in my rearview mirror at the Danvers mansion.

"I really doubt she'll come out it's almost midnight Trace." Sage said scaring the shit out of me.

"Not funny Sage you scared me." I said throwing the notebook I had into the passenger seat.

"Good but seriously why have you been sitting out here all night staring at that house? He asked pointing to the house next to his. "It's Ocean isn't it?" Sage asked looking at the notebook in the passenger seat.

"We think she's working for Dave Danvers." I said looking back into my rear view mirror.

"Doubt that Trace, Ronnie's mother is going to marry Dave here in a couple of months." Sage said

"She said something about him becoming her step dad or something in Chemistry on Friday."

"There's no way Ronnie is working for him. I'm pretty sure she doesn't even believe in what we are." He said

"But what if she is?" I asked, running my hand though my black hair.

"She's not so go home and get some sleep, cause you're my ride tomorrow." He said walking back up to his house. I waited till he shut his front door then I started my car and drove up the street.

Maybe I should show up extra early tomorrow to pick Sage and Jake up, and then maybe I'll get a glimpse of Ronnie outside that house. I should also ask Sage how he's so sure that Ronnie's not working for Dave.

Ronnie's POV

I awoke from my nightmare to see the trees standing in front of me. I had screamed thinking I saw something within. I stood there a moment then the backdoor slammed shut and Milo was screaming at me.

"Ronnie what the hell are you doing out here?" he asked running up to me. The night was cold and I only had one my bed shorts and my purple spaghetti strapped shirt. My whole body is shivering and my left leg hurt badly. I looked to my brother and tried to speak but when I opened my mouth nothing came out.

"Come on Ronnie; let's get out of the cold." I heard him say but could only look at the opening of the woods. I had just registered that it was only 70 degrees outside and I was only in a tank- top and shorts.

"Ronnie!" Milo said and my face turned to him. I guess I must have looked spooked because his face softened and he came over and picked me up. I looked back to the opening, something wanted me to go into those woods and it wanted me badly.

Milo had walked into the house and into the living room, and then onto the couch then turns the light to the living room on. The look on his face made it feel like my heart just shattered right then and there.

"Ronnie what did you do to your leg?" Milo asked putting his hand to his month. I looked down to see my left leg covered in blood. I lost my breath and began to scream, Milo had reached for the phone immediately. He waited a few moments then began screaming to whoever was on the other end.

"Something attacked Ronnie, and she's bleeding and I don't know what to do." He said walking into the kitchen and I lost what he was saying but caught some.
