I awoke to the warmth streaming across my face; it felt as though the Florida sun was coming to greet me again. I opened my eyes to see the top of my canopy bed and the sheers blowing back and forth. I stretched my body out underneath the safeness of my blankets; it felt as though I had slept for days. I could feel the walking boot forcing itself against the skin on my leg as I slammed my arms down from above me. I looked out from the sheers flowing to see that the sun was out from the dull Washington clouds, the warm rays hitting me with an ever sense of calmness. My eyes were directed towards the stereo on my desk. 3:32pm it read, then back to the top of my bed.

"Wait did I read that right?" I asked myself and looked back to the clock. "Yep 3:32pm, why the hell did Milo let me sleep this long?" I threw the blankets off and placed my foot and the boot and the floor. I grabbed the crutches from the wall.

"I guess Milo brought them up." I thought as I limped to my black desk on the other side of my room. I quickly sat down in my neon green chair. The doctor didn't want me to put a lot of weight on my leg cause it could cause a lot more pain.

"Let's see, where is my IPad?" I thought and began to look around. While I was looking my phone began to ring blowing up my ex's ringtone.

"She gave me 7 minutes in heaven, 7 minutes in heaven. I spent 7 minutes in a motel with her. I've been to heaven but im going to, going to HELL. She's coming with me I can tell. We're just two people in the dark."

"Hello." I said placing the phone to my ear.

"Ronnie, don't hang up." He said.

"Why are you calling me Reid?" I asked really annoyed.

"Why am I calling you? Why haven't you called me back? I've been calling for a month!" he said all in a rush.

"Maybe I wasn't trying to talk to you, did you ever think about that!" I said not really asking for a reply.

"Ronnie, you broke up with me without even an answer to why, then I find out you've moved across the country." He said. "I mean I knew your mom was dating a new guy and you had an issue with it but damn Ronnie you took your angry out on me." He said now screaming through the phone.

He went further saying that I hadn't been me since my dad left, but I toned him out. I just let him talk; I knew that's all he wanted anyhow. My brain began to wonder to that moment when I told Reid we were done. He wanted to take me to the burger place that had just opened; I wasn't really up for it. I had known for two months that I would be packing up all my stuff and leaving the beautiful ocean behind, and that night would be the breaking point for us.

I was going to tell him, I really was but every time I opened my mouth to say it, nothing would come out. After dinner we went down to the beach, normally it was filled with late night swimmers and couples walking hand in hand but tonight there was no one. We were near the water when I asked where everyone was. His replay was that there were some huge waves over on the north shore and everyone was trying to catch some. We walked for a while near the water until we reached the big rocks where we shared our first kiss.

"Is everything ok, you're really quiet tonight?" he asked turning to face me. I looked at him then down at my shoes they were newer then. "I just don't feel all that well." I lied "I just....im really tried." I said hoping it sounded ok.

"That's not it Ronnie I can tell." Reid said while lifting my chin so he could see me. "Please tell me what's going on, is it your mom?" he asked, I shook my head no. "Is it Dave?" He asked again, and I shook my head once more. "Please Ronnie your scaring me." I looked into those green eyes of his, then at our spot, then back to him and it was as though my heart took over my entire body.
