Chapter 7: Brand New Day

February 24th 

Mom actually allowed me to stay home on Friday, all I had to do was say my leg was hurting too much and she was like "Ok just take the pain meds." Sometimes I really hate my mother but when I can totally fake her and get out of school; she's the best. Since I stayed home on Thursday I haven't been to school in a week. I've done all the homework my teachers sent home and I've even done my chemistry work, that and two take home labs. I can't believe my first day of school here was my last for a week. Im still not permitted to drive yet so I've pretty much just stayed in my room all week. I hate this boot, it's itchy and I have to limp around; everywhere!  

Me and Milo have been getting into a lot of fights lately, last week sometime before mom and Dave got home me and Milo got into one of our fights cause he went in my room and I think he read my After New Year's entire. Apparently I busted his nose but I really could care less, he went in my room and he deserved it at least that's what I thought until I saw Milo in the morning...it was really broken.  

Reid has been calling me still and im still not talking to him, it's not as though im angry with him or whatever I just don't want to get into whatever he wanted to talk about. So yeah I have about 20 messages from him that I am not even going to listen to.  

"BUZZ BUZZ"  

I looked up and realized my phone was ringing on my desk and it was about ready to fall into my neon blue trash can.  

"If it is Reid, im going to kill him." I thought as I rolled off my bed. My phone had been going off all day because of him and it was so annoying. I got to my desk just in time; the phone was one more buzz from falling into the trash.  

"Hello" I said into the neon green cased phone. No answer "Hello" I said again. Still whoever it was on the other end didn't say a word. I pulled the phone away from my ear and looked at my screen; unknown.  

"Really, whoever this is it isn't funny...im hanging up now." I said pulling the phone away from my ear and hitting the end button on the screen. I threw the phone back onto my desk and grabbed my IPad and my Deadmu5 headphones.  

I got up way to early today and no one's awake yet, even Milo who seems like he doesn't sleep at all anymore was still in his room. I decided to check my facebook; I hadn't been logged on since we moved here and I was pretty sure people were wondering where I was, but once I saw what others had posted I wished I hadn't. Reid had posted a super long letter and everyone had commented something mean to it. I wanted to scream, I wanted to unfriend Reid so much, I was beyond pissed...I really thought about calling him and telling him off but before I could there was a knock on my door.  

"What?" I said just loud enough for whoever is was to hear.  

"Hey Ronnie I was ganna go to Seattle today I wanted to know if you would like to come?" Dave asked as he stood by my bedroom door. "You can do some shopping or whatever."  

I looked down back to my facebook page and thought a moment. "Yeah sure I'll come." I said as I turned my IPad off and grabbed my phone, my bag, and my jacket.  

"Great." Dave said as he started walking out the door with a smile on his face. We were in the car 30 minutes later. Seattle was a two hour drive there and back and I... was loving on a chocolate donut.  

"So why are we going to Seattle?" I asked Dave in between taking bits of the donut.  

"I have a meeting, my accountant didn't want to come to the house so yeah." He said looking straight at the road.  

"Does mom know you are taking me?" I asked as he turned a corner that lead out of the little town.  

"Yeah..I was going to ask both you and your brother but when I went into his room this morning...he wasn't there." He said raising his hands as though he didn't know he was gone.
