Shattered

Darling hold me tight in your arms,
Till the end of night,
Keep me there safely locked away from harm,
Being here feels so wrong yet so right,
How the beating of your heart calms me down,
Your hypnotic eyes that swirl with wonder and care,
How your laugh can chase away unwanted frowns,
I'm not ready to let go,
I'm not ready to move on,
Leaving will only shatter what is left of my heart,
You filled that empty void of black,
And escaping what we have will only make it grow back,
I don't want to return to endless nights of no sleep,
I don't want to wake up without your arms around me,
I don't want to go through scenarios 'if' I stayed with you,
I don't want to imagine a life without you,
But I have to,the memories we had will forever be engraved in my mind,
Not a day will pass that I won't remember when you were mine,
We may not be together for now or the next day,
We've been torned by life but I have a feeling that we'll meet again one day,
It could be months,it could be years,
Every night I'll lay under the stars and bury my sorrow with tears,
Thinking of the day's we spent together,
Now I finally realize something's last forever.
