David

Ilang araw na ba ako ganito? I try to make her to notice me but it just doesn't work. I really don't know what is happening to me? Maybe it's the process I'm in. Ugh!

"David..." how did she know I'm here?

"What?"

"Lumabas ka muna .I need time alone."

"Bakit?"

She sighed and sat on the couch, "Please I don't like to have an argument, please, just leave." I just nodded and went outside. She's a girl after all baka magwala siya, pagagalitan ako ni dad.

"Bata, anong nangyari?"

"Bata ka dyan. 17 na ako, maliit lang talaga ako."

I gave him my handkerchief at sinikmahan niya ito.

"Salamat, kuya." I smiled at him and he smiled at me.

Out of curiosity tinanong ko na lang siya, "Ano ba ang nangyari? Is it about a girl?"

"Girl? You think I'm straight?" tumawa ito at umiling iling, "lalaki siya kuya. Pakboii siya! Pinaasa niya ako!"

"G-ganun ba?" I stayed quiet as I listen to his sorrowful love story. "Do you want to get coffee?"

"Sige po!"

He follows me to the café and I ordered a drink. Ng tanongin siya, diretso siyang umorder, "Dark Latte Mocha and Belgian Waffle with corn syrup."

I just smiled at him tsaka umupo sa corner ng café, "Sorry, I forgot to ask. What's your name?"

"Jarno Verbeke II."

"I'm David Grande," he smiled politely but I can't tell if it's real. "Where are you from, Jarno?"

"Belgium."

"So what do you do? I mean nandito ka sa Philippines tapos sa Belgium ka pala nakatira. Then you know how to speak tagalong." When I heard myself talking so vigorously, I instantly stopped and closed my mouth.

"My first cousin twice removed is married to a Filipino guy. Then he taught me how to speak their language but only basic. I can understand but when it becomes so deep my nose just bleeds." He laughed. Sakto rin at dumating ang mga inorder namin but we kept on talking. "So David, what do you do?"

"I'm still a student but I'm the heir of my father's company. It's just stressful to be an heir lalo na—"

"I understand that perfectly, I know what you feel too." He frowned and shook his head as he eats his waffle.

"Are you also the heir? What company?"

"The Belgium Royal Family. My dad's the King and well my coronation will be on my 18th birthday at ako ang magiging hari sa Belgium."

"So that means... You're a prince?!"

"Shh! Wag kang maingay." I kept my mouth shut and I looked at him. Him? A prince? You can't really judge a book by its cover. "I don't want to be a prince or the next in line king." He sighed. "I was the first in line when my uncle died during a shipwreck. If he didn't die, chillax na sana ako."

"So what brings you here to Philippines, your highness."

"Ayun, jowa ko na ginamit lang ako. Pinuntahan ko siya dito ng sorpresahan pero may girlfriend pala siya. Na timing ko pa ang pagtatalik nila sa bahay nila."
