Sherlock:

"John, have you heard from SJ?" I asked him, pacing through the flat, worried that she hadn't phoned in like she was supposed to. It had been 6 hours since she left for Ryoko, capable at going into labour at any moment, and now she wasn't answering my calls. "I'm worried."

"She's probably enjoying her last little bit of freedom, Sherlock." He sighed, sounding half asleep. Long nights with the little one, soon to be me doing the same. "God knows why you want a baby, you don't understand how much work it takes. Have you tried Ryoko?"

With a sigh, I rubbed the bridge of my nose. "No, not yet, she's my next port of call. Keep me posted if you hear anything, OK? Even if you just hear that she's gone to the pub."

There was a pause and a yawn from him. "She doesn't even like the pub, Sherlock, but yeah, I will. Hope you find her soon, mate."

"Thank you" then I hung up, dialling the Blue Box cafe. "Ryoko, it's Sherlock, is SJ there?"

The soft Scottish accent of my mother in law, sort of, sounded confused. "Sherlock she collapsed about 5 hours ago, I had to call an ambulance."

Oh, no, no, no, please, no... "Which hospital did she go to, tell me, now."

"Oh, um, Royal St Hope, they have the best maternity ward. Sherlock, they were supposed to call you."

"My brother, was he involved?"

This surprised the woman, and I knew that he was. Mycroft, if you hurt her... "Yes, he came to see me just after, when I was about to phone you. He said he was going with Sarah Jane, to make sure that she was alright. Mycroft promised to phone you."

When my brother was involved anywhere near SJ, he was going to do anything to try and break us up. Even if it meant risking our unborn child. He'd never liked SJ, ever since he called her into his office, or the abandoned factory that he'd also taken John to, and questioned her the same, and we actually did split the money. Once Mycroft discovered the nature of my relationship with my soul mate, he really started to hate her, and was trying to do anything to make sure that I broke up with her. As well as find out why she was the way she was. If she was suddenly on the floor seizing, and he found her double hearts...

"Mycroft hates her. Look, I need to go, I need to find her, Ryoko. Can you please, please, keep an eye and ear to the streets to see if you hear anything? I need to make sure that they're both alright." I pleaded, already pulling on my shoes and an inconspicuous baseball cap to avoid my fanclub from finding me. I was not in the mood for that. "I don't know what I'd do without Sarah Jane."

"I promise, Sherlock. I'll get my caffeine addicts out with the promise of a free espresso if they find something. I hope you find her, little Dove." Oh, Ryoko...

Hanging up, I caught a cab to the St Hope, in the slight chance that I could find something out there, and bumped into Martha, an old friend of Phi's and the Doctor's, and she was working furiously to keep up with the influx of people in the A&E, but spoke with me as I followed her. "Sherlock, I don't have time for this. I'm 3 hours over my shift, Mickey's had to stop working to find a Groske loose in the sewers system to go to Alice's parents evening, and I have about 40 people left to see."

Yes, because they were all really more important than a pregnant Time Lord where there were very few of them, us, left. "SJ's missing, I phoned Ryoko, and she said she was brought here, because it's the best maternity hospital in the area. Have you seen her?"

"She was taken up about 5 hours ago with your brother and Dr Forbes, check with her, she's on desk, or should be." She told me, checking a man with his foot in a toilet. As you do. "Tried to get into the Ministry, again, Peter? We'll send you to maintenance to have it taken off. Sherlock, why are you still here?"
