Kali:

They were burning her body now. The body of Charlie, or Celeste Middleton. Or at least they thought it was, but at least Chuck came through for once. They'd hate me in a few years, but they'd still be happy. Dean and I lifted the body, wrapped in white material onto the pyre, and left her there as we started the fire.

All of this was done in silence, as the fact that Ria and Sam... They got her killed, it was their fault I now had to keep a secret from them. Sam was the one to break the silence first as Ria just stared at the burning body. "Charlie. We're gonna miss you. You were the best. And I'm so sorry -"

"Shut up." Dean and I snapped together as I felt a heavy heart, knowing that it's going to a long time before she met my daughter. "You got her killed, you don't get to apologize."

"We were trying to help you."

His older brother glared at him. "I didn't need help. I told you to leave it alone."

Oh, you needed the help, but they should have come to me, not do all of this alone. "What were we supposed to do, just - watch you die? When you're never going to see Aisling again?"

"The Mark isn't gonna kill me." It was going to kill this family though.

Ria shrugged. "Maybe not, but - when it's done with you, you won't be you anymore. Dean, you're all Sam and Khalilah have got. So of course, we were gonna fight for you because that's what we do. And listen, we had a shot -"

A shot that got one of our closest friends dead. "Yeah you had a shot. Charlie's dead. Nice shot."

"You think I'm - You think I'm ever - gonna forgive myself for that? Charlie looked at Ria like she was her mom after she saved her life!"

Dean finally looked at his brother and Ria, glaring. "You wanna know what I think? I think it should be you two up there, not her. This thing, with Cas and Suzy, and the book, ends now. Shut it down before somebody else gets hurt. You understand me?"

There was a long pause as they both started to digest this. "And what about you?"

"Oh we're gonna find whoever did this. And I'm gonna rip apart everything and everyone that they ever loved." I nodded, wanting to avenge her. "And then I'm gonna tear out their heart, and feed it to him."

"Is that you talking or the lack of soul, great niece??"

Oh, I was perfectly good with doing that while having my whole soul. "Does it matter?" Then I turned with Dean and walked away.

We went back to our motel room, where I right away started to check through the security, tracking who killed her, and sent across some photos to Rudy, one of Dean's acquaintances. "Rudy. I just sent you some security cam footage of a black sedan. We need you to run the plates."

"Yeah can do, just give me a sec here." He paused for a moment. "Weird. Uh, the vehicle's registered to Eldon Styne out of Shreveport, Louisiana, but there's no street address. This guy got something to hide?"

Just a little. "Yeah, big time. We'll fill you in later, thanks."

"Yeah sure, but um, isn't that what Sam and his new girl Ria's for?"

"They're busy."

Then we just got into the Impala and started to drive, getting all the way up to the suburban intersection of Shreveport before someone tried to stop us, which was weird, because Dean was driving safely for once. And he pulled out his license and registration, and just shrugged at the first one he found. "What's the problem, officer?"

They weren't feeling very chatty though. "License and reg." Dean handed it over without a word. "Ashley J. Williams, huh?"

"You can call me Ash." Too many Ash's, Ashildr, Aisling, and now Ashley.
