Khalilah

Talking to a girl in hospital who seemed to think that she'd been possessed. Obviously the police wouldn't believe her, but Sammy and I would. Dean was busy waiting in the car as he hated hospitals. God, I just curled up against him every night and he held me... "I'm not talking about it anymore. I already told the cops and the Doctors. No one believes me. They think I'm crazy."

"Well, we're a little bit more open-minded than most." I smiled at the girl, my long hair braided down my back as I pretended to be an orderly. "April, why did you tell the police you were possessed?"

"It doesn't matter."

Sam gave her a brave smile. "It matters to us."

April hesitated for a moment. "When I -- when I hurt Taylor, I was there, in my head, but I couldn't control my body. I could see what I was doing, but I couldn't stop. I just wanted to stop. I'm sorry."

"You don't need to apologize." I told her softly. "April, some of the kids at school told the police that you and Taylor didn't get along."

"Well, yeah, but I never wanted to kill her. Never. Do you believe me?"

It was kinda my job to. "Yeah, we do, sweetie. Just a couple more questions. On the day this happened, did you... happen to smell anything?"

She frowned at us now. "Anything... like what?"

"Like rotten eggs or... sulfur?"

"Um, no."

Sammy nodded. "Okay. Um, did you notice any black smoke?"

And now she was really confused. "What are you, crazy?" Probably, it seemed to run in the family.

We headed back to Dean once we'd finished, and I kissed him quickly as I got into the back of the Impala. Shortest got stuck with the least leg room, cuz Sammy was just too big to fit in the back. "So? Nice to see you too, by the way, Nurse Forbes." Oh, you wished. I was struggling enough to learn field first aid.

"I think she's telling the truth." Sam told him as I rested my head over the back of the front seat, making it look like I was part of the conversation. "I mean, the way she talked about being there mentally but not physically -- kind of sounds like demonic possession to me."

"Kind of?"

That was the thing. "She didn't see any black smoke or smell sulfur."

My boyfriend, loved being able to say that, shrugged. "Maybe it's not a demon. I mean, kids can be vicious."

"Well, I mean, we're already here. Might as well check out the school." I sighed, taking my hair out.

"Right." He nodded slightly. "The school."

Sam frowned at his older brother. "What?"

"Truman High, home of the Bombers."

"What's your point?"

Deany sighed a little, playing with the end of my blonde waves. "I mean, we went there, like... for a month a million years ago. Why are you so jazzed to go back?"

His baby brother looked at him in confusion. "I'm not. I just think it's worth looking into."

"All right, well, what's our cover? FBI? Homeland Security? Swedish exchange students? I mean, Kali can pass, she's practically albino, but us?"

But he just smiled at us. "Don't worry. I got an idea."

Why did I have a feeling I wasn't going to enjoy this? "Okay."
