With Cas and Chuck still out for the count on the ground, and my daughter cradled by her husband, both fighting back tears, I went to check on God, trying to wake him up, before Castiel woke up in Suzy's arms. "Sue."
She laughed in joy a little. "Cassy? Cassy, please, tell me that's you..."
"It's me." He told her, tracing her face as Chuck woke up, groaning and scrunching his face up in pain. "Lucifer is gone. Amara ripped him from my body."
"To where?" she asked, helping him to his feet, looking elated at his return.
"I don't know."
They both came over to me with Sam, as Dean kept holding Kali, who was slowly getting colder. She was made from Starlight and Ozone, like her tattoo said. "Are you, uh... H-How do you feel?" Sam asked Chuck, while I stood up, looking quickly for my gloves. I was likely to have to touch people, and a seizure would not be useful.
He groaned a little as I pulled them on. "Ohh. You know when you're driving and a bug hits your windshield? I'm the bug." Nice analogy.
"So, what Amara said about you..."
"Dying. Yeah, whatever she did to me, I can feel my spark, my light fading, same with Khalilah's. And when they're gone..."
Dean looked up desperately from where he was holding my daughter, who'd passed out again. "Okay, well, t-tell us how to fix you. How to fix her!"
We both shook our heads. She broke the dam between her and Time, meaning it was literally speeding up around us, or slowing, which was more likely as she used ice. It was literally only a matter of time before we froze. "You can't. I-I-I suppose she could, maybe, but that's never gonna happen. Not even to save her daughter."
Stop saying that! "Khalilah is my daughter, alright? I'm the one who had her ripped from my body, the one who tried to raise her as best I could for what I could guess was coming. I'm the one here while, while she-" And then I broke, starting to cry and Sam came over and awkwardly hugged me as best he could being a foot and a half taller than me.
Then a door slammed, followed by footsteps. So Suzetta pulled out a gun, again her mums, and pointed it in the right direction as Chuck leant on his son. Only it was just Rowena. "So that was a gun in your pocket. I thought you were a man."
"Well... that was a complete and utter dog's breakfast, wasn't it?" Crowley asked, and I sent him a glare, still hating him for destroying the flat.
Cas frowned a little in confusion. This was pre him telling us where she went. IE, to fight the Apocalypse. "I didn't know dogs had breakfast."
"Cas is back." Dean told him softly, standing up with Khalilah in his arms.
"Just curious— has anyone bothered to look outside?" The Witch in the room asked, pointing back the way she'd come.
So we followed her, hearing a siren wailing in the distance. Nothing different, until she hesitantly tapped my shoulder, and turned to look at the sky, the sun burning brightly. The sky around it is bright red/orange, as if it was on fire. "What is it?" Dean asked, kissing Kali's head, holding her so close.
"It looks like the sun is—"
I'd seen this before, in a memory of dads, of a cold burning star. Our sun was a star. "Dying."
"Why would Amara do that?" Sam asked as Suzy cuddled into Cas, wanting to be close to him as the world started to freeze.
"The sun is the source of all life on earth. Without it, everything just... just wastes away." He told him, kissing his partners head. "And it's not Amara. Amara was just the on switch. It's Khalilah, why she's freezing. Her cold front is slowly reaching out through the universe, it's all slowly dying."
