Dean:
This, this was not good. Khalilah was dragged off somewhere, and I was stuck in a hospital bed, staring up at some bright lights. "Hold him down."
"Hey."
"Three, two, one, set!" And then I screamed in pain as they forced my leg into place. "Nurse! Just relax."
No, no, no, this was not good, not good. Where was she?! "Where am I?"
The dude just looked at me. "You're at the hospital."
Didn't really help there. "Which one?"
"Sioux Falls General."
Then I was given a shot, and I started to feel sorta woozy. "Where's my brother? And Kali, Dr Forbes, she was with me. We got to go."
"He bashed his head quite seriously. He's gone up for an MRI, and Dr Forbes is accompanying him."
Well, it was better than him going alone, unable to defend himself. "OK. I got to go."
The Doctor shook his head as I started to fade to black like a cheesy movie. "you're not going anywhere on this leg, buddy. Relax."
Then I went under for god knows how long, and surfaced again to rip out the drip in my arm, and tried to get up. Only I just went splat because there was a cast on my right leg. "What?"
At which point Bobby came in and I stared at him. "You okay?"
"Bobby, you're alive."
"'Course I am. Why are you on the floor?"
Well, any other time, the drugs would have been fun. "They gave me morphine. A lot." He gave me a hand up. "Hey, look, a monster broke my leg. Oh. Wait... the house. We thought you were dead. Khalilah-"
The man just shook his head. "Well, I ain't. Not yet. But we got to run. This place ain't safe. Where's Sam and Lilah?"
"Uh... Head scan, I think. Kali went with him."
"Meet me at the ambulance dock, stat. I'll find them."
Hang on, I had a cast around my leg and it was broken. "Wait, where? Bobby, I'm a gimp. Kali can't fix people, remember?!" At which point he just handed me some crutches. Brilliant.
I started to hobble along, trying hard to look inconspicuous, and just about made it into the ambulance before the guys who shipped us here were on us, and I saw Khalilah unconscious on the stretcher with my brother. "Go, go, go, go, go, go, go!"
Bobby hauled ass out of there, and we were chased for a moment before they stopped. Well, that was eventful.
Three Weeks Later
This, this was getting ridiculous. I was stuck on the sofa with Kali, my leg still in the cast. I mean, the cuddling was really nice, and she was for some reason incredibly tired and dopey a lot of the time right now, but the fact I could barely walk was really pissing me off. Because I couldn't change the channel and pretend to be annoyed by the channel. "Dude... Ricardo."
"What happened?" Bobby asked, coming in as a woman was in spanish tears on the TV.
"Suicidio."
He smirked at me. "Adiós, ese." Oh... This was such a sad part. "Well, this ought to cheer you up."
Bobby held up my car keys and I carefully sat up, letting Kali stay laid down. "My baby! Well, my other baby. Now I just got to get this stupid thing off and I can drive again."
"So how is it out there?" Sammy asked, moving closer.
"Weird with a side order of bloody." Our Hunter guru replied as I took my girlfriends hand, stroking the pale skin. "Talked to a few hunters. They're running into the same kind of thing that set up shop at that hospital."
